trainings total screwed again ... had a bit of flu and i have torn a rotor cuff ....

im just so prone to injury .....

OUCH!!! I know how much that can mess things up as that I what I tore in a skiing accident and it is still causing me problems (doing press up's and weights) So I wish you a speedy recovery

I really need some extra motivation, things are getting a little difficult lately...

Can't I just wake up tomorrow and be thin? :p

Find some clothes that were tight on you before you started and try those on. They should be really loose on you and that should give you motivation to carry on :D That is what I used to do. Also I got a a pair of trousers that were the next size down and tried those on every week to see how long it would take me to slim down into them. HTH

I think we all wish we could wake up thin :rotfl:

I've not had a chance to do it since as I twisted my knee dancing at a TT concert - hoping to get started again in a couple of days now my knee is better.

Oh you lucky thing  How was the concert ? I am so jealous I'd love to have got tickets to see them. The photo's i've seen look amazing :D I hope apart from the knee you had a good time.

Can you also add 2.3 miles to my total thank you

I have just been watching channel 4 embarrassing fat bodies and seen apron surgery. I so feel that I could do with that but I could never go under the knife  Seeing that girl who has lost 23 stone after a gastric band but her boob's look as sad as mine :( But seeing her excess skin makes me feel a little better but I know how she feels and how much I hate looking in the mirror at myself with my clothes off.

So my third post since declaring intent on this thread, not so great. I started a temp job today and its one of those offices with cakes-a-plenty. I had 3 flapjacks (only really tiny mind you! The weeny little square ones you get in the pots from Sainsburys)

Also has a curry :( My Mum begged, I went for a bhuna over my normal tikka massala as I figured it was more creamy and fattening.

Going for sushi with my boyfriend tomorrow, I guess that should be a nice balanced meal, or in fact unbalanced, more protein!

its not that bad, i can move and train with it, its just painful moving through some extended movements and aches when i wake up

since i have got mild flu i have taken the opportunity to rest it and i have bought a proper bench press frame (didn't want it, no room) as i am sure it was getting into position with 30kg dumbbells for dumbbell presses that was tearing it

if you can its really best to avoid anything sugary like flap jacks

indians can be fine if you have the tandoori'd meat and half a portion of rice, most will do mint yoghurt or bring you a small pot of sauce if you have to have something

suchi is great as well, just watch how much rice you have

    Hello old friends!

its good to see youre still trying hard at the weight loss

I'm seeing a psychologist at an eating disorders clinic... some of the advice includes "dont weigh yourself" and "dont count calories" and "dont restrict your diet"... I'm finding it tough as it goes against what ive been doing routinely for the past 20 years. I understand their purpose - it's to iron out the yoyoing, to stabilise my weight and not particularly to help me lose it.... but when i'm told to "eat normally" well without counting the calories its hard to judge what a "normal" portion is

Anyway just thought i'd let you know that i havent totally dropped off the face of the planet... and i see youre all doing another stair climbing challenge this month of the worlds highest buinding - ooh that sounds tough so good luck :-)

    Hi everyone,

I can still see a few familiar names posting but mostly new ones!I cant remember the last time I posted here, not since Ive moved so around a year it seems! I hope you all are well, goodness Eric you have been busy weight loss wise!

I joined slimming world in February and am doing the extra easy plan of a load of healthy food which is working better than other attempts to lose weight I think. Am hoping to get my 2 stone award this week which would be fab but have just had a look through at my "old" loss records and realised since my heaviest I have now lost a total of 3 stone 8lbs,cant believe I was that much heavier than I am now (11 stone 4) seeing as im a midget!

Other news for anyone interested is that my life is totally different now - im now in the south not the north, new relationship and starting a primary pgce in September! Will hopefully pop in here a bit more often now ive found the thread again xxx
