72.7 kg today. That's - 0.4 kg from last week.

Another partial success when I went for my swimming lesson yesterday. I've started to learn front crawl and it seems to be working better than anything I've tried so far.

I got a bit worried that I didn't seem to be losing weight at all, thought I might have metabolic syndrome (insulin resistance). My fasting blood sugar is 5.3 mmol/l however and that's OK. DH has just done it for me. Anything below 5.5 is fine for a non-diabetic.

He decided he wanted to go out for lunch yesterday, so we decided on the local 'Toby'. I had 3 kinds of meat and some green veg - broccoli, peas, shredded cabbage and onions in gravy. My usual drink when we go out - sparkling water with ice and lemon. So I had very little carbs for lunch. Boiled egg and wholemeal toast for breakfast, then strawberries and yogurt with a handful of bran flakes with raisins at tea-time. Not much carbs, but then, the weight loss this morning! Eric, you're right, it is all about what you eat and how much - portion control. I saw people yesterday piling their plates with a lot of carbs - it still seems all wrong to me eating Yorkshire Puddings that way - and then having creamy fruit sundaes afterwards. One woman there could not wait in the queue for the carvery - her friend saved her place just ahead of us, and it was obvious why. She could hardly stand up, she was so huge, but she managed - with the help of her stick - to get along the line and pile her plate up.

a big part of this will be water retention which will go quickly
Remember any weight gain isn't necessarily all 'fat' gain. I find holidays can do funny things too - you might find it evens out after you've been back home for a bit longer.

Thank you Missy and Eric, you were both right. Weighed in this morning and had lost all of the holiday weight and an extra 0.5lb :T

So Fred - can you put me down for - 0.5 lb loss this week.

STS for me this week. I'm hoping it's the muscles in my gorgeous arms preventing me from losing :rotfl:. Still 2 kg to hit my target weight ;)

81,9kg this morning which is -1,2kg from last week I think :D It just made my day and I am so motivated to carry on :D

Will be back at the gym next week and try to be extra good this weekend(going abroad for my uni exams and that's really hard food wise as unable to cook and predict when I can get out to eat something but stocked up on nuts, spicy almonds, eat natural bars and dark chocolate just in case:) )

have a nice day everyone and congrats on all the lost kilos :) seems to be a good week for most of us :)
