What help and advise can you give me to improve my times as I feel I don't seem to be getting any faster
Do I need to have a fast start and slow down as I get tired or is it better to start slow and keep increasing speed as you go along ?
I am starting to get frustrated now that I am not really improving
Thanks Eric
I stretch, then do 3 mins @ 3mph to warm up, I reset the treadmill and then do a constant speed, this morning 7.4mph
its then just a case of digging deep, initially its a bit hard as you get into a rythum and then i have to dig deep, real deep at the end (my HR is in the low 170s at this point) sometimes lol I imagine jillian shouting at me
as to speed, i build up to it slowly, adding 0.1 mph every time i finish that i do not feel dead
i am pretty close to my limit now thou, i can probably do a sub 25 min just0 -
1lb loss this week. Don't know why. I haven't strayed from lower carbing at all. Will hope for a better loss next week!

Hi Everyone,
Congrats on the lossesWeighed in tonight and lost 1.5lb. Not quite the 2lb I needed to get my 2 stone award but I did get slimmer of the week for the first time which was nice. Funny how thats my smallest loss of the weeks ive made it (went through a big run of working every night so couldnt get to weigh in) and yet got an award but the people there with bigger losses hadnt lost last week so i got it

Hi all
Is it ok if I join this challenge? I've joined a few weight loss challenges but fell of the wagon unfortunately.
I'm 5ft 2 and at my heaviest weight 12st 4 but that was many moons ago. I got down to 8st 10lb with WW last year and was so happy to get to goal after years of trying (I have been overweight all my life)
I've since put on 10lbs which I know isn't tons but I feel awful in my clothes as they are too tight or don't fit at all:eek:
I can't face going back to WW or any other of the clubs (done them all:o). I'm going to give calorie counting a go but not sure if i should count in fat content as well? Some of the calorie levels I've seen are quite low and I know that if I restrict calories too much then I will binge.
I would like to lose a stone before my hols in Sept (and keep it off after). Any advice on calorie counting and any other advice would be really appreciated. Is calorie counting the best way to go?

Any suggestions for a team and exercise challenge for next month?
I really liked the idea of 24 hours excercise that was suggested last month.
I am currently only doing about 12 hours so would be a real challenge for me. Those that want to do more could do 2 days, and those that want to do less could do half a day, etc.

Fred, please add on to my challenge please:
1 hour Crosstrainer - 6.02k/3.7miles - was concentrating more on working out on a higher level instead of speed(552 calories)
I then went on the powerplate for 3 minutes and felt it. It's a really great workout but it don't half make my legs itch :eek:SECRET TO WINNING PRIZES:

This might sound like an excuse but I think men are built to run faster than women. From people that I know, the women and men could appear to be of similar fitness but the men can always run faster.
I did my first 5km run of the year yesterday, having started running in 2008 and achieved a PB of just under 28 mins at my peak of fitness. Did it in 35 mins this time so wasn't too unimpressed with myself. Doubt I could ever do a sub 25 mins but i would like to aim for a 10km in 60 mins ultimately.0
