Saw this on the net yesterday and decided to give it a go just now. I must say I was pooh-poohing it but have to confess that I did feel it in my abs. Ouch!!
The movement "helps tone the transverse abdominal muscles"
Here's how to do it:
Kneel without touching your heels, arms extended, hands leaning on the thighs, the back slightly rounded.
Inhale and hold the breath in, trying to suck the belly in as much as possible. Return to the initial position while exhaling.
The exercise mainly works the transverses abdominis, which is the deepest of the abdominal group. It's circular and horizontal fibers reduce the diameter of the abdominal region with they contract.
If you practice yoga, seated tummy tucks may feel familiar; the movement of the abdominal muscles is similar to cat and cow poses, which are done on the hands and knees.SECRET TO WINNING PRIZES:

How do you manage it ? I am over 10 minutes slower than you and I am a little lighter too.
What help and advise can you give me to improve my times as I feel I don't seem to be getting any faster
Do I need to have a fast start and slow down as I get tired or is it better to start slow and keep increasing speed as you go along ?
I am starting to get frustrated now that I am not really improving
Thanks EricRestarting C25K in 2014 - Week 8 - 1/3 completed

A PT is doing my head in. He wants to sign me up and I don't want/need a PT. I'm doing OK on my own, atm anyway :rotfl: Each time he sees me, he comes over, "Can I have 5 mins?" so I have to stop my workout and go and sit down with him somewhere discussing the workout, nutrition and how much he wants me to pay!!! I'm being very polite letting him know I don't have the funds to pay a PT. Thought that was the end of it.
Was having a turn on the Power Plate this morning, when in he walked and stood over me. Told me to workout on the bike so he could sit next to me for a discussion. After the bike workout, we sat at a table. I ended up chatting with him for over 30mins and at the end of it, still reiterated that I don't want to sign up to some programme. He calls it 'Rebalance Programme' and guarantees I'll have flat abs by the end of it. I mean ...... :rotfl:Told him about Insanity, which despite confessing to never heard of, he dismissed as "it won't work" I had to leave the gym early and he still said he'll see me tomorrowI'm being harrassed
Anyway, Fred, please add on to my challenge

That's out of order - if he continues to not take No for an answer, then I'd speak to the gym about it - maybe he's got some sort of target he's not meeting?0
