Guess she is out on the town now spending all HER money.
I really hope this has all been a big wind up.
I feel so sorry for her Mum & brother having to live with her.0 -
if you lived with me, you would be over the doorstep with my foot firmly up your a*se and your bags would be following you

She says that with part of the mortgage included all utility bills are £1200 month -so expects me to pay £100 a week. (£1200 divided by three)
I've refused to pay as its way too much. I've discussed this with my friends and all of them say she is trying to scam me and that I could get a place of my own for less than that.
:rotfl: Go on then!Sweetheart wrote: »I am refusing to pay any more than £50 a week. My brother is, looking for a job and earns £65 a week in his part time job, and my Mum is not entitled to benefits as she was paid redundancy.
So her current income is £200 a month plus £120 from my brother and she should be getting more from him not me.
Can you please give your opinion so I can show this to her to demonstrate how unfair she is being. I'm only 23 and trying to save up to move out but she wants me to go now as he cant afford to keep me. This makes me so angry as I'm hardly ever here
What happens when a £1200 - £200 - £120 = £880 pcm deficit means that the house is repossessed and you're homeless?
Or don't they teach mathematics anymore - just a sense of entitlement?
I think you might just find yourself written out of her will, so don't make any plans for the future based upon a half share of the house proceeds...I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
I am 31, and after you have paid your mother £400 a month you still have more income than I do!
If you expect your mother to keep you for free now, I assume you are expecting to return the favour in her old age by taking her into your home, maybe giving up your well paid job to provide her personal care, running up your heating bills as she will be feeling the cold etc??0 -
Sweetheart wrote: »My masters will cost me a thousands and I'd have to give up work or work part time. Surely any mother would see that its important.I just dont think its fair shes not taking this into account
I did my masters part time whilst I worked full time to support myself and pay for it. It can be done and there are plenty of us who manage it, however by that point I wasn't living at home anymore but had my own mortgage.Sweetheart wrote: »I probably didnt get my point across as I wanted. My point was, if my friend can offer me an all in apckage for £500 - fopr everything - all bills - the lot, then how can my Mums monthly outcome be over £1200?
I tried to speak to her today and told her that I wanted to go back to Uni but she said she that has no bearing on what I give her.
You do realise that everyones bills differ?! Possibly not but maybe you need to look at other areas of this forum to get your reality check enforced.Sweetheart wrote: »I should never have asked!

This is brilliant.
My mum is lying in a hospital bed at this moment in time and ive had a pretty rubbish night but this has cheered me up beyond belief!
It's like soooooooooooooooooo unfair for the OP that she has to like pay for things and stuff.
Folk like her are the reason my folks think that all kids should be out and living in the real world by 18.
Thanks OP, stopped crying for the first time tonight!'The road to a friends house is never long'0 -
seriously you need to grow up or go in live in the real world and realise how easy you would have it paying £100 a week,
im 18 and living with my partner and just our basic bills come to more than £100 a week not including food !!! we pay £150 a week rent on a 2 bed house !!!!
if you dont like it move out at the end of the day your mum is giving you an easy ride ... wake up and smell the coffee(#80 save 12k in 2015) aim £10,000make £10 a day in 2015 £261/£4000emergency fund aim £100/£1000£1 a day for xmas 2015 £0/£365NSD feb 0/16feb GC £0/£1200 -
The OP's next thead will probably be along the lines of
"my mother didn't pay the mortgage and now our home is being repossessed"
Shame on you Sweetheart. Can you really not see what might happen if you don't pay your fair share? (And yes, I think that £100pw is VERY fair)
And I'm another who needs this to be a wind-up.My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead
