The Great Stripper Issue

"He is perfectly decent and a very good husband and father, so it's unfair of you to tar all men with the same brush. "
So he would be perfectly happy for his daughters to strip and do faux-lesbian sex shows to groups of drunken men would he, with the risk of being groped or even seriously sexually assaulted? Or is he one of those men for whom there are two types of women, i.e. wife and mother material or slag.
I don't believe that a man who would attend such an event is even a decent human being , let alone a good husband or father.
In the same way that you think there are two types of men? Hypocritical?0 -

That's an interesting question! Would men who happily enjoy watching strippers/sex shows be happy if their daughter/wife/sister did that kind of work? I'm guessing probably not!:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

That sums it up really. Why wouldn't they want a family member doing this? Because it's degrading/cheap many other reasons. so why then is it acceptable for another person's daughter/sister whatever to be degraded in this way. I cannot believe that there are many women out there who would chose to do this work whenthere are other options out there0 -
I wouldn't stop my husband from going on a trip like this (although wouldn't be pleased about the idea), but I'd be very surprised if he did want to go. I don't have an issue with strippers per se, but I find the whole 'theme' of this stag do just a bit seedy, to be honest. Men sitting next to their friends and all getting cheap thrills from two women writhing around on a stage? Really? Just a bit sad!
Knowingly doing something that is going to upset your other half isn't healthy for a relationship at all, whatever the subject matter.0 -

Ok, I am biting on this one, I work in the sex industry, I am not ashamed of the work that I do, I tend not to say much about it, mainly because of people's close minded views.
But, I am doing a job that I enjoy, it may not pay the best money in the world, but I work when I want to, I can be around for my kids whenever they need me, and I am paying my own way. Plus, I have job security, there will always be a need for the sex industry.
I do not believe that I am being degraded in anyway, the whole industry is built on fantasy and fairy stories, in fact if anyone is being degraded and exploited, then its the customers, as they are paying for something that is not real.
Do you really think that women that work these jobs are getting off on it? Do you think strippers are doing it like they would for a lover? Nope, they are just going through the motions and thinking of the money at the end of it, its a job, just like issuing parking tickets.
The men that I deal with are to me, not real people, they are plain and simply customers, I get off on them just as much as I did working a checkout at B&Q.0 -

And yet there are a lot of women who choose to work in such environments, and some of them are even very intelligent, well-rounded individuals with qualifications in nursing, microbiology, chemistry, physics etc. The truth is the industry can pay very well and does appeal to a significant number of women for various reasons.
As for whether a father would want their daughter to become a stripper, while it is highly unlikely to be the first option, is it truly impossible to believe that some fathers would likely be supportive no matter what? I can think of several career paths worse than a stripper.0 -

excuse me but if you have read my other posts you would see that i most certainly do not think 'you get off on it' or that you are 'looking for lover'. if you don't feel degraded then that's fine. i know a lot of women who have and do work in the sex industry every single one of them tells me it's a case of 'going through the motions' one said that sometimes she feels like she is 'dying inside'. So you might be okay with it but a lot of women aren't. if i could draw a line and clearly see those who are clearly happy with their job and those who aren't I wouldn't have a problem with it but you can't. As I said earlier my very close friend who I lived with for 2 years would also defend her choice of a job to others but ultimately she hated it the most. I do not have a problem with it in principal it's the exploitation of innocent women I have a problem with.0 -

A local club was recently advertising for dancers (pole and/or lap) and being evening work that fitted in with my husbands hours I told him I was considering it (having had pole training previously) when I lost the baby weight. He said if I wanted to then it's fine. I've since decided that the effort to lose the baby weight is low down on my list of priorities lol so won't be taking this up anymore. Not sure many men would like to see my wobbly bits on a stage. So anyway, yes he'd be fine with a family member doing this kid of work.
With the close protection the girls have on these 'sex shows' there will be no chance of a man groping or assaulting the girls. The kind of activites on such an organised trip as this one mentioned in the OP are almost certainly not related to trafficking of girls for such work, so are willingly taking part (I have spoken at length to people in this kind of work from european countries, and go by what they told me from their experience).I don't believe that a man who would attend such an event is even a decent human being , let alone a good husband or father.0 -

Being supportive is one thing, but being happy about it is another. I know my father would hate it, but he'd still be there for me as he's my father and he loves me.
I am interested to know if the men on this thread would be happy for their daughter to do a job such as a live lesbian sex show? ie, would they discuss such work as a potential career, among other options?February wins: Theatre tickets0
