  • Morning everyone :hello:

I'm getting a bit bored of waking up to rain every morning. Could do with a few crisp, cold, dry days to lift my spirits a bit.

I must be sleeping well as I went to bed late but woke up feeling bright-eyed. I hope it lasts all day.

W**k again today so no housework till later tonight and even then it will only be whatever I feel like doing that will be done. ;)

My blood sugar is good today. :j Think I will have some scrambled egg on toast to celebrate. (How sad is my life that I celebrate a good blood test? )

Hope the move goes well Bargain. (((hugs))) to everyone who needs or wants them.

Wishing you all a thrilling Thursday.

    Happy Thanksgiving

to all who are celebrating. I would put a nice big pumpkin pie smilie, but as I'm still using my w*** laptop as mine is out of action, I can't. We'll be having pumpkin risotto for tea :D

Friends coming for supper tomorrow, so I'm off to the butcher for a nice big rib of beef, then making puddings, and preparing the dining room. Having been Flyladying for quite a while now, it's not nearly such a daunting prospect as it was. ;)

Have a great day all, especially Bargain Rzl!

  • Hi all!

Feel fantastic this morning as I had the best night sleep for weeks. Went right through to 5.30am without waking up, which is a miracle for me of late.

Had some weird dreams, tho. In one was dropping my son off at nursery, going through all the usual anxieties and being told to just quietly leave so as not to unsettle him, when the classroom door opens and in walks my 16 yr old, 6'1 son . He says "It's cool, mum. I'll muck in with the other kids games." And reassured, I waltz off to the shops. Maybe unconsciously I want to keep them babies forever.

Anyways, DS1 needs enticing out of bed for work with a hot coffee, and realised that I've run out of sandwiches in the freezer so got to go make some now.

Shall pop back when I've run him to work and read up on everyones day, hopefully to inspire me to do OSish sort of things. ;)

    Have a good day.

    Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

Good luck with the move Rzl

Well, Sainsburys was a waste of time yesterday, they basically decided that instead of reducing things, they would just ship them out to the other local stores!!!! So was not impressed. Did get a few rolls reduced, but that was it. Will def stick to Mr Ts, much prefer it there, and its cheaper!!!
Plans for today - 2 little ones here, but one is at nursery for a couple of hours. Need to get some more brown paper as i have one more parcel to send after my ebay sales the other day and thats about it. Would like to clean under the kitchen table if i get chance (not really dirty, but dusty!!!) but will see how well the little one is playing.
Right, need to put the bins out and make the packed lunches.
Hope everyone has a lovely day,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Just a quick one for me atm. Getting tea on. Been a bit warmer here today. Iv'e had DGS today. He's been a good little boy for Granny. The first day of the Ashes today in Brisbane. The barmy army are here :D. Remember Lucie, who came over to watch the Tri Nations football here. Well it was last saturday. We beat Great Britain. :D So I imagine they were a bit crushed. :p

Best go and will pop back later. Have a lovely day. Byeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Morning Guys :hello:

Well I have good news and bad news.

The good news is that today is MOVING DAY as PP already mentioned. Even if it is p**ing it down with rain  and I still haven't finished packing even though the removal van is coming at 9am  I haven't been TOO bad, the main thing left to be packed up is my main food cupboard.

The bad news is that my grandma finally died on Tuesday morning, peacefully in her sleep. A lot of you know that this is not really bad news at all - she was completely physically dependent on others and had been for some time. Anyway, funeral is next Wednesday up in the wilds of Northumberland.

Must get going. I doubt I'll be able to get back on here until Monday (depends when the phone gets connected, but Monday is when I'm next in the office).

    Catch you all soon
    Rzl xx

    Good morning all!

I use the word "good" advisedly, it has nothing to do with the weather!!:D

    BargainRzl - Happy Moving Day!
PP - hope you DH's problems are sorted out, & it's not too serious. My DH has prostate problems & will have to be taking tablets indefinitely. Mind you, my friend's dad had prostate cancer & once told me that after the op, his doctor told him he would be "incontinent & incompetent" Not surprisingly, they won't operate on a younger man unless there's no alternative!
Skystar - gallstones are awful. I had them when I was 27 and certainly not overweight - it was the most painful thing I have known (worse than having babies) But at least the operation now is not as drastic as it was then. It's keyhole surgery now.

RIght, I've got to get a move on - DS has piano lesson today, so off on our cross country trek! Then he still has to finish his English assignment which he has been putting off and putting off .... and putting off...... and.....

    Anyway, hugs to all!
    Have a good day!
