  • Condolences on your loss Bargain. Even though your Grandma's passing is a blessing for her, you and your family will still feel her loss.

Morning Everyone - Hope we are well

RZL - Good luck with your move, and sorry for your loss. I miss my Grandparents - so if anyone who wants to adopt a GD - I'll accept!

Didnt have a very good night sleep, I went out for a drive at 11.30 cos I couldn't setttle. Im very tired now, and have got to endure physio this morning - before work.

Tried to sort out some paperwork last night, still got plenty to sort out, and pack away all my card craft items, so my living room looks more respectable.

Anyway - short but sweet - must jump in the shower
Have a great day peeps and take care
    Love as usual

  • Morning all :D

Well I went home last night and did all the washing, the problem now is the house looks like a sweat shop due to the amount of ironing that needs to be done, so I guess that's tonights activities taken care of

    - Hope the move goes well for you and condolences on your loss also.
PP - Have a great time. We're going up on Sunday and I can't wait

Nothing much going on with me today apart from the usual w**k but OH may have picked up a new client yesterday for the business we run part time so that's good news :T

Also the architect has dropped off plans for the new extension and re-model of the house so need to sit down and have a good look at them.

    Anyway, back to it.

As always take or leave the :grouphug: as needed.

    Morning all

Bargain RZL good luck with the move and I'm sorry to hear about your gran.

Everything has gone out the window here as DH fell thanks to a pothole last night and has badly sprained his ankle and is now off work for a week. This is not such a bad thing as it means he will be home tomorrow when I take my parents shopping and I was worried about missing a delivery. I have managed to find Amazing Alison on sale for £30 and she is coming on special delivery either today or tomorrow. Yippee!!! DD is now finally sorted for christmas :D

Sorry, meant to add that I took a trip to Morrisons for the first time ever yesterday and I was really impressed. I saved £25 on their BOGOFS and it was so clean and bright in there and really easy to find everything. I was so impressed with their cafe I even treated myself to my first christmas dinner of the year :D

  • Good morning everyone.

Bargain Riz, I'm sorry for your loss.

I am a bit up and down at the moment so haven't achieved an awful lot OS wise. But I my obstetritian has put me on low dose antibiotics for the rest of the pregnancy after she realised she was going to have to prescribe my 11th? 12th? course of antibiotics for the same infection that I can't shift. So hopefully that will level me out a little as the infection won't get a hold and drag me down. I'm breaking the next trimester down into baby steps to get through it! Only a couple of weeks till DS's 3rd birthday; only 2 weeks after that till Christmas; then new year, then there's only January and I am likely to have a planned section at the beginning of February. So I'm working on getting to my small goals and getting through that way. (Still sick. I love the baby just don't much love being pregnant for obvious reasons.)

Anyway, I wanted to tell you about some vacuum pack bags we got in Wilkos yesterday. They are fairly small but fit quite a lot of clothes in then you take all the air out of them with the vacuum and seal them like that. We are going to get a lot more to store clothes in the cellar without worrying about them getting mouldy or damp. And it means we are on target for having the attic as a bedroom by next year as we can move a lot of stuff out of it.

Have a good day everyone. My one and only OS plan today is to get some more Christmas cards made.
May all your dots fall silently to the ground.

Moggins....I find the cafes in Morrisons really good. DH ani travel around the country quite a lot...to music festivals, with our border morris dancing and to scattered relatives and always try to use Morrisons if we need to eat out. If you get there at a reasonable time the choice is usually quite wide and also reasonably priced. If they have sold out of alot in the cafe then the take away salad/sandwiches are also good and well priced

    Good morning everyone!:hello:

Just a quickie this morning as I’m rushing out….

Thankfully we all woke on time today, so a fairly normal ‘have you seen my socks? ’ sort of morning. One loaf baked in the breadmaker overnight and another almost ready to take out.

Something that made me smile yesterday....

My youngest takes school lunches once a week.... and on the way to school yesterday he mentioned looking forward to his curry for lunch. I asked if liked the food he got in school as much as he likes the food at home (because he’s such a picky eater I have a habit of asking him this kind of thing). He said he didn’t know, he thought about it for a while and then made me laugh by saying, Ok what about a challenge? You against the dinner ladies! I think he must have managed to see some reality TV recently.

Anyway, I forgot all about the conversation…but when we were eating dinner last night, he announced that I’d won and that the meal I’d made was better than the curry he got in school! :j But then he went on to burst my proud mummy bubble by saying that the school lunch was just as nice, but they’d given him too much rice and not enough sauce so it didn’t taste as good as it usually does. So it looks like I won by default. :D I told you he was a picky so and so!

Anyway, must get started on the rest of today…..

Bargain, Good luck with the move today and I’m sorry to hear about your Grandma
Gingham, I hope you feel better soon.

Have a good day everyone! :)
