that wouldn't happen.. it is fairly loose so would hang like a sack off the boobs.. they woudn't be outlined at all it would also lift the front of the dress. possibly showing undies if the sd is tall..

With large boobs it needs to have some shape to it. my sis is a 28H we find 50's styles suit her best (she is 23 so not old either)

I don't think the dress is inappropriate at all, it's quite classy looking. When I read the OP's post I expected something really tarty or looking like a wedding dress?

The step-daughter is going to the wedding as a guest and can wear whatever she likes unless the bride & groom has stipulated a dress code. Unless the OP is going to police the clothing of every other guest going to the wedding she has no right to dictate what the step-daughter can or can't wear.

I wonder if the OP is so upset about the dress and the majority of replies on here because it's her son's wedding and maybe wouldn't have been so bothered if it had been someone else's wedding. ;)

I think it's a lovely dress and if I was 16 with lovely legs I would wear it to a wedding

It is a lovely dress, I would ask DSD to wear tights with the high heels as a wedding is a special day.

. I totally agree with you op that this is unsuitable for a wedding, in fact if my 18 year old wore it even to a nightclub I would have a fit.

    .

OMG Seriously you would have a fit if your 18 year old wore that to a club??What a dress that covers her chest stomach arms and just shows her legs?? Make sure you dont go to any clubs then you would have a heart attack!!:rotfl: So glad my mum was laid back and with it when I was that age lol Your daughter probably runs roud to her mates houses and gets changed before going out if you think that dress is too much lol

I really cannot see what all the fuss is about..if this dress suits her shape then I think its perfect for the wedding (as I said before!) with a nice pair of heels and accessories it would look lovely!!!:D

Sorry, but to me this just smacks of OP not liking the idea of OH's daughter possibly upstaging her own son. The dress is fine, personally not my taste and maybe it won't suit her, but there's nothing wrong with it in terms of being decent. She's 16 - young girls wear short dresses, and this one is pretty demure on the top. I've seen far less appropriate at a wedding I went to recently where some girls wore dresses that were not just short but really tight, clingy and in one case strapless and very low.
There's no way she's going to upstage the bride unless perhaps the bride is wearing a short dress in similar colour?
