Harveys Fabric Protector - Warning!

Hi Everyone,
Has any one had further information from Harveys, I have spoken with my solicitor who believes there is a case and is contacting AXA and Harveys. I would be glad to pass the details on because it is on a no win no fee basis and this would take the pressure of chasing them and would show how serious you are.
I still am awaiting a reply to my complaint letter but i am not willing to wait long hence the solicitor.
The solicitors are express solicitors and have a good track record.
Thanks

Hi everyone,
Has anyone had any further development from Harvey's or AXA?
Thanks
Sean0 -
I received a letter from AXA a couple of days ago, asking if I intend to make a claim for personal injury and for more details etc. As we never went to Dr's/vets and as I don't work at present I did not loose any pay, so I'm not really sure if I can go ahead with a personal injury claim.
I had told Harveys I still had some spray left in a can, but was unable to get into the store to return it as asked. AXA are going to discuss with Harveys how we can resolve the return of the product. I think I will be holding on tightly to my can of spray for now though.
Also there was a Safety Data Sheet attached to letter from AXA

Hi,
I have instructed a solicitor and requested trading standards investigate.
I would not return the cans because that is what they want, my solicitor advised me that it is evidence and they have made mistakes because the safety data sheet is dated july 2010, so they knew about the problems some time ago because Mclords had informed them.
It really does not matter if you did not loose any pay because you are entitled to damages. My mother is retired and she never lost pay but she has had health issues. It also does not matter about going to the doctor because the solicitor sends you for a medical and has an expert come in to use data from previous cases to confirm what happen with your health and it is based on this data. The fact you lost your dog will have an impact. I think if you deal with them direct you will not get a lot because you would not have the support and the medical.
Here are my solicitors details:

They are really good i instructed them and the next day they had already written to Harvey's. They take the work on a no win no fee basis. Jonathan is really switched on and knows his stuff. He has informed me they have three months to respond.
He has informed me anyone who has been effected can contact him and they will carry out the work.
I have not had any letter from AXA just a letter from Harvey's informing me that they have passed my formal complaint to their health and safety department.
I have written back to them informing them that i have been waiting for two and half months for them to address my complaint and all they can do is write to me with a letter entailing two lines.
I have informed them that my solicitor will now take legal action and trading standards will investigate.
I hope this information helps with your claim.
Thanks

Sorry furthermore keep all letters recalling the cans and if you received the letter with no date but safety instructions keep it because they are libel. Keep a copy of the safety data sheet because the date and contents have a important element of the claim.
Thanks

Best of luck to you all, I've recently looked on the site at the safety sheet and I'm not at all sure its the same one I read when the subject started in March. Unfortunately I did not keep a copy of the first one. If anyone took a copy it might be worth checking if there is a difference, I could easily be wrong.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Hi Peter_the_piper,
I have been on the mcklords website and the data sheet has gone. I have a copy that is dated july 2010.
I can send you a copy if you need one. Have you had a letter from AXA?
Thanks
Sean0 -
No, not affected by harveys at all its just that I hate to see people screwed by the big companies.
Click the link post 19 and see if its the same one.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -

I hope its sufficiently large for those with ongoing problems.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0
