    Hi clarkys
You should soon receive a letter from AXA insurance asking for all details and permission to contact Hospital (if visited) and your GP.
There will be a possible public liability claim against Harveys so let's hope it does not take too long to sort.
    Regards
    Mick

    Hi Mick,
I have had a cough since the spray was released on our sofa and a rash. I have been getting headaches all the time and feel dizzie on occasions. I have been sick as well no and again.
My mother has a really bad skin infection on one of her legs, she has been coughing and feels dizzie alot.
We both have been getting stomach pains and breathing issues. We have both been to our doctors about the symptoms. I was given a very strong cough mixture and pain killers and a cream for my rash.
My mother has been given the same but she has an appointment with a skin specilist due to the extent of infection.
I will be in touch with Harveys today again. I have instructed our solicitor to take this matter to court if required.
Did they give you a time scale?
    Sean
  • I would write to 1) Watchdog and 2) Dont get done get dom, i think this is something which needs national attention. I cant believe you lost a pet and had a relative become ill and they are not taking this more seriously, particularly as it is an issue effecting many people - if you imagine how many people are on this one thread with similar problems imagine all the people who dont use this site or have no internet. I would contact the media. Just goes to show Harveys should be avoided at all costs imo. Every company can make a mistake, the ones worth forgiving are those which sort it out which clearly Harveys have not.

    Hi Sean
I received the letter on the 19th April and it quotes"Our investigations are now underway and we will revert to you again shortly in this respect"...which going by my previous dealings with solicitors could be a long time!.
My symptoms where mainly shortness of breath which i am still suffering from and i have recently had some blood tests which might pinpoint the cause.
Hope it all goes well with you and your mother and keep us posted of any updates.
    Regards
    Mick

    Hi Mick,
I have the problems with breathing. I spoke with Harveys today and have given them a warning of legal action. My solicitor will not mess around with this matter and will be looking for some sort of settlement asap. He has informed me that they have informed us that they are liable by sending the recall letter etc. If AXA gets in touch fair enough but my solicitor has sent a letter before action giving them 14 days to reply. They have about 5 days and if they dont then i will instruct him to go to stage two filing a claim against Harveys and the manufacturer with the high court for damages and loss of earnings.
My loss earnings is about 8 weeks at the mo and i will seek damages this is our health we are taking about. I suggest everyone seeks the same, i will be seeking an injuction against them preventing them from selling any kind of product that is similar. I have been with my solicitor for 15 years and i pay for it as they are one of the best firms in the country. But he has informed me that there are lots of no win no fee solicitors that would take this case due to the fact they have admitted liability.
I have been to the doctor again and my mother has seen the specilist about her skin rash on her leg.
The solicitor has informed me a case like this will not take long to settle.
    Thanks
    Sean

Only just seen this thread, so sorry about your poor little pup OP. Hope your other dog recovers fully.

    Harveys are an absolute shower.
Love the animals: God has given them the rudiments of thought and joy untroubled. Do not trouble their joy, don't harrass them, don't deprive them of their happiness.
