One heck of a mess though hun, I'd certainly send the photos to Yankee and have a moan.hieveryone wrote: »What's the bubble scenario?
Is it what pulliptears said, above?
Must admit that when I first read your OP my first thought was that it sounded like in the manufacturing of the tartlet a bubble of air had got trapped in the wax and when you lit the tealight and the tartlet started to heat and melt the bubble heated and expanded causing it to explode taking with it any melted wax.
I hope you get a suitable outcome.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

this:If the tealight is burning with too high a flame then that could cause it to be too hot, hence bubbling/splattering.

I can't say that I particularly measured the wick to see if it was 'too long' to be honest, but surely the blame can't be passed onto me for this? :-/
It was a brand new candle that I used, not a re-used one.

I don't think anyone is saying its your fault, just that its a possible explanation as to why this can occur0 -

No, no sorry didn't mean you - I meant YC giving this as an explanation and blaming me? They better not try that one!

So, Yankee Candle haven't replied yet - despite stating on their website that they reply within 1-2 working hours of an email and certainly within 4-5 hours. No contact number on the UK website either.

You could also try posting on their Facebook page - companies tend to respond quite quickly when all their customers can see!

I get so nervous when I burn candles I have no idea why I burn them at all sometimes. I can't enjoy whatever I'm doing as I'm always looking over making sure everything's okaySavings £8,865.22 £/15,000 Aiming to save enough for a house deposit.0
