I've been trying to burn one of their tarts tonight but it keeps starting to bubble and pop so i blow it out straight away. this has happened a few times in the past and im not sure if its because when i clean the glass i clean it with washing up liquid and water? i don't know if theres maybe still some on of the washing up liquid on the glass or something thats making it do this? only thing i can think off.

The burner is in their possession and is being 'examined' apparently. Not sure at what stage in the game do I ask for a refund on my postage !

I received an email 8 days ago to say that had received the burner and were investigating it.

How long do I wait until I contact them again? How long legally do they have to test/get back to me?

    Thanks

Anyone got any idea on a reasonable timescale?

I would personally say 2 weeks is ample time. Give it till next monday, and if they haven't contacted you, then chase it up.

I would be tempted to ring them just to check on progress... ask how long this sort of thing normally takes etc.

Just seen your photos for the first time. Yikes! I'm just glad no-one was hurt, and hope you manage to get things fixed satisfactorally :)

Thanks both. I wonder if I should ask professional advice about how long this should take. My wall is still covered in wax and it looks awful.

I think it may be time to consult professionals on this matter - still no response!
