To be fair, I have used Yankee Candles for years and years and this has *never* happened, it's so strange why it would happen though.

I also can't believe how far it's got! I'm surprised it's not on the ceiling!
I too have had a recent problem with a Yankee Candle, left a nice big smoke stain all up my wall:eek: never had a problem before either:(

I don't have the receipt/packaging or anything for it though, and Yankee Candles are sold in a lot of places around here, so not sure if the retailer would 'believe' that it was from there? :-/

What a nightmare! I've had a wee laugh about it now though, just as well I wasn't standing near it though, I'd have been covered!

OMG!!!! Like someone said, you were lucky you weren't in the room!!!! Have you got kids?? That could have harmed them too!

Complain to YANKEE CANDLES and include the photo's also point out the extra damage it would have caused if you child was in there. That's discusting!
 Thank you to everyone!

No, don't have kids - but I'm not a fan of the 'what about the kids' argument really anyway. It's lucky there wasn't anyone in the room at the time - it fair travelled far!

Have emailed YC and explained but will only let me attach one photo - will see what they say.

    Jees,thats terrible!!

Prob not relevant, but just googles & found this.

Please be careful using candle warmers...if they are the kind that you put the jar in. If candles are not meant to be used in warmers, they could explode. After doing this for years, I was told this by Yankee Candle, when the wax components in one of my candles separated when I used it in a warmer.

Sorry for my ignorance, but I don't understand this. :o What's a candle warmer? I know what a tart burner is, but i've never heard of a candle warmer.

To the OP - wow! I'm glad no-one got burnt. That looks messy!

Please do tell what your definition of a 'tart burner' is? :rotfl:
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.
