Yankee Candle exploded - what to do?

Did the tart burner break? I wonder if it had maybe got knocked in transit and there was a crack that expanded when you lit the candle underneath it?
Nope, the tart burner is intact, everything was intact, there was just a small hole in the wax on top.
I've had it around a year and never had any problems?
Bought is to buy. Brought is to bring.0 -
WOW! I've been using Yankee Tart burners for years and never heard of this, glad you weren't in the room!
I would contact Yankee to let them know, they will probably offer some sort of compensation!
toejumper: If it's smoking you need to trim your wick. See this: http://www.yankeecandle.com/cgi-bin/ycbvp/ycContent.jsp?page=%2FNavigation%2FNon+Product+Left%2FCustomer+Service%2FSafety+And+Burn+TimesGreen and White Barmy Army!0 -
Looking at that, you are lucky you were not in the room at the time:eek::eek:
I would be taking it down there first thing tomorrow with your pics, if possible and complaining rather loudly!
Wasn't the shops fault it expolded so why shout?
Shouting gets you sweet FA when it comes to making a complaint IMO its best to keep calm and be polite.0 -
Any chance of a pic of the candle itself?0
