Hi We are an SSAIB recognised alarm company based in the UK and cover nationally.
We are currently undertaking and offering an SAS alarm rescue package. Please visit Alarmtek UK. The Daitem control panel is completely wireless (NO MAINS) and uses a special battery that can only be obtained from one or two suppliers. As with the movement detector batteries.
We have recently taken over a number of these systems and given the customer peace of mind again. Bearing in mind that the amount of systems SAS installed, means that there is around 1 million batteries soon to be changed!!!
We offer a complete rescue package for ex SAS customers.
Please note:
We have NO connection whatsoever with SAS or any other alarm company currently being pursued by the authorities.
Anyone with a Daitem System can contact us via our website.
We are here to save you the task of getting a new alarm system and SAVING you MONEY!!! After all that's what this site is about BEING FAIR and SAVING MONEY!!
:T:T
• Hi the number 0844 824 6693 is NOT Daitems number, it's the distribution companies number. They are GM Techtronics based in Hilperton Wiltshire.:T
• Great news I have just received a settlement for my S75 claim and I received slightly more than I paid out and I keep the alarm. It took over a year but well worth the time and trouble.
Now signed up with a monitoring service and maintenance for the alarm.
The maintenance Co. told me that people who had sent cheques to UK Monitoring & Responce Solutions had had them sent back uncashed
• Just to add we are getting excellent service from Bulldog Security.

WARNING - BULLDOG SECURITY REPRESENTATIVES

Alert message sent 21/10/2011 11:57:00Information sent on behalf of Nottinghamshire Police2.gif

Bulldog Security sales people are operating in the area. It has been reported to us that they are making false statements about Nottinghamshire Police. That the police will not attend alarms, that neighbourhood watch is of no use whatsoever and that the police no longer attend due to lack of funding.

Nottinghamshire Police do not in any way endorse this company and have referred such claims to Trading Standards. The company have been contacted and are withdrawing their sales staff from the area and will be conducting an internal review.

Nottinghamshire Police do respond to sequentially confirmed alarm systems.

Neighbourhood Watch schemes in this area have provided early alerts for many suspicious people in the area, the local neighbourhood policing team has responded quickly and the individuals have been located and requested to leave the area. There has been very positive results for the scheme and if your area is not operating a local scheme then please contact PCSO Chris Archer, who can assist with setting one up locally.

If you would like security advice then please contact PCSO Archer who will be able to assist.

The crime figures for the Stapleford and Bramcote policing area show that as of yesterday, burglaries have decreased by 66% from last year.

Please report any suspicious salespeople in the area on the 0300 300 9999 number, or 999 if an emergency.

I'm just a satisfied customer. That's not good, but it was two months ago and I see " The company have been contacted and are withdrawing their sales staff from the area and will be conducting an internal review."

I note a comment from another satisfied customer on the police site.

I've been having problems with the alarm in the garage, probably due to rats, and they've come out twice to help with that ] (hoping it wasn't rats, now they've determined it is they'll fit sensors etc at no charge.. The guard came out once when we didn't respond. We have a panic button we can carry when one of is home alone in case we fall or have a problem that we can't deal with without help.

Sure, the police come for sequential alert systems, which are also expensive. You get what you pay for. I'm not saying there aren't better systems (although I don't think I'd want 'smokecloak' which I read about), but we are getting value for money and we have evidence that our system works and that they have good customer care.

Doug

Bulldog Security Ltd – More Concern

Posted on 23 November 2011 by Paddy Riley
On 21 October BT reported the Nottinghamshire Police’s concerns about the way in which representatives of Bulldog Security Ltd had been misleading local residents about the services it offered.

More recently, BT received a message from a ‘member of the public’ giving fulsome praise to the product and service offered by the Bulldog Security Ltd. We were initially inclined to publish the article, in the interests of balance. However, given the reservations expressed by the police, we asked the sender to supply a full name and address – the latter not for publication – which is more identification than we normally require. In response we were given only the postcode of a road in Ilkeston and therefore declined to publish the comments.

Subsequent investigation of the email’s headers revealed the full name of the sender. It is an unusual name, and matches that of an ex-director of Bulldog Security Ltd, as documented in its Companies House registration.
The sender made no mention of any connection with the company; some may consider that a significant omission.

Yet again it looks like a person associated with Bulldog Security Ltd has been less than open and transparent.

Local residents might like to bear this in mind when considering any dealings with this company.

• I find it a bit odd that they didn't find the sender's name in the headers immediately. Maybe it's true, maybe not. It doesn't change my experience.

"Doug Weller" says:-

I find it a bit odd that they (Bramcote Today) didn't find the sender's name in the headers immediately. Maybe it's true, maybe not. It doesn't change my experience.

Bramcote were requesting standard confirmation of the sender by asking for a name and address. TBH, you do not automatically assume that you are being lied to, particularly when you are dealing with a security company, unless of course that company is SAS FIRE AND SECURITY.

;)

It's a bit like when first-time posters join a forum just to sing the praises of one particular company that has had bad things written about it. One does not immediately order a set of company reports, just to see if a see if a particular name can be found. However, I do see that Bulldog Security Ltd were formed in October of 2010 (when SAS FIRE AND SECURITY first began to realise that their time was up) and are late in filing their first annual return...

• Can you just confirm that you aren't referring to me as a first time poster?
I wasn't told that the police wouldn't respond to sequential alarms (I know that they do) but I know and was probably told that they don't respond to the ordinary 'just ring outside the house' alarm. It seems unlikely although not impossible that anyone would claim the police don't respond to proper sequential alarms reported to a monitoring station. Especially as that is part of Bulldog's offer. Why would you offer a service and then say the police won't respond? Sounds like someone was confused.
