  • As for the solar panel buisness, i know everything about the company and know that what the papers have written is untrue and misleading and are just trying to make sure that anyone who has had any link with sas, skynet etc cant work again.

I KNOW THE TRUTH AND CAN BACK EVERYTHING I SAY WHICH IS WHERE MOST OF YOU FAIL WITHIN THIS FORUM.

I will not publish the information on here but anyone who wants to challenge me for what i know then you can message me.

    Anyone know anything about them?:-

    • The "Local Notice Board" warns:
I wonder if you would be interested in posting a warning to users of a firm in the area at the moment which is selling solar panels.

They adopt very high pressure selling techniques and insist on a quick decision because of a “discount available for only a short time”.

The company Solar Energy Savings is not registered with either the Microgeneration Certification Scheme or the REAL Assurance Scheme.

Anyone approached by this company should first check out the Energy Saving Trust’s “A Buyers Guide to Solar Electricity Panels” before parting with any money.
    • The press is unimpressed - read the latest updated report here:-

What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?
  • I'm close to emigrating to a remote island somewhere, I cant believe this has happened to us...

I am an IT professional and did receive a cold call from CISS and thought I'd do a search on the company name and nothing was turned up, not even the original post this thread was based on. Whether or not it was my bad spelling I dont know!!

Anyway whats done is done, we are left somewhat distraught, my wife has been recently diagnosed with MS and one of the reasons for getting the alarm was in case of emergencies someone is there... Or as it appears now, not....

    Order of events-
05-MAR-11 we signed up to a 10yr service with CISS (Central Intelligence Security Solutions Limited). Paid £1000 deposit and £4000 on installation by cheque. The sales person was with us for over 3 hours. We were told we had to make a decision there and then. We were shown a quote from ADT which showed their system as being cheaper by a fair margin.

07-APR-11 Received a letter from CISS stating due to a data error that receivers were claiming they had gone out of business and that it was a genuine mistake and was being investigated.

05-AUG-11 we have recieved a letter today from "The Insolvency Service" detailing a winding up order was made against the company on 6-JUN-11. There is a questionaire included about how the company has dealt with us, I'm wondering if we will get any compensation out of it as we paid by cheque (cleared on the 10-MAR-11) I undetstand we will get nothing from the bank...

I have tried phoning 0844 887 0599 (the only number I have for CISS) which rings out.

As someone who is self employed trying to run my own Business, I'm in all honestly deeply upset I cant trust anyone that phones.

My priority now is to get what money (if any) back and find a reputable alarm monitoring company that could take our system on.

    Any help greatly appreciated!

I did a search today for SAS after spending time with a friend of mine who had an alarm fitted by these people in Nov 2009. She was going through some paperwork, which she asked me to help with, and I found the letter from the insolvency service for this company closing. I asked her about the alarm and she got very upset as she said that she hadn't wanted it, but as she was 83 years old, scared and home alone, she agreed to the alarm just to get rid of the salesman. An hour later the alarm was fitted for her and she had put £3500 on her credit card for it (which actually took her over her limit and led to her geting penalty charges)

Having looked through all the paperwork I believe she deserves a refund for not receiving the service she paid for and for the way she was sold the alarm (with no cooling off period) We rang her credit card company together (Barclaycard through Yorkshire Bank) and have lodged a section 75 complaint and now we have to write in with more details. Having read through this post and seng it hadn't been updated for a while I wondered if anyone else had sucess with a section 75 claim and how they went about proving it / what paperwork or information helped with the claim? She is now an 85 year old woman, in poor health and I just want to help her get this sorted as it is something that has caused her a lot of upset and obviously the loss of a lot of money.

Thank you for you help x
  • I sent photocopies of receipts and all correspondence from SAS to my credit card company (M&S). I sent a covering letter claiming refund for 9 years 7 months monitoring (the amount left on my contract) and I received a full refund. I seem to have been lucky - good old M&S!
  • And installed within 24 hours Was it for "just £1"?

    - that is just so SAS!

Anyone spotted any connection yet betwixt this BullDog Security and SAS?

OK - off we go - lets GO COMPARE these two web pages:-

    First from http://www.bulldog-securityltd.co.uk/FAQ

    Q. How quickly can I have an alarm installed?

    A. We recognise that having made the wise decision to secure your property, it is essential that your security needs are promptly and efficiently met. A bulldog Security Ltd alarm system can normally be fitted and activated in your home by a qualified engineer within 48 hours of your order.

    Q. Can I take the system with me if I move?

    A. If we have service and guarding cover in the area you're moving to, yes. Bulldog Security Ltd alarm engineers must remove and refit the system and the customer will be charged the installation price only. In reality, the incoming occupant usually wants the alarms and will negotiate a price with our customer.

    Q. What happens if I have an extension built or have new doors or windows fitted?

    A. Our alarm systems are wireless, existing detectors can be moved easily or additional detectors added in order to maintain levels of security throughout your home.

    Q. Can I have an alarm on when I’m home?

    A. Our alarm systems can be set to have certain zones or sensors omitted in order to provide protection from intrusion while you are at home.

    Q. Will my system false alarm?

    A. The vast majority of false alarms are due to poor installation or inferior equipment. As Bulldog security Ltd alarms only use fully trained engineers and install the highest quality equipment our systems have one of the lowest false activation rates available.

    Q. What happens in the event of a power cut?

    A. As Bulldog Security Ltd systems have battery back-up a power cut will not affect the performance of your system.

    Q. What happens if I recommend a friend?

    A. Because our company is grown on recommendations, once an order is placed we will reward you with £75, £100 or £125.
