I note that part of the ISA promise is that they will keep you informed while switching your ISA to them. What form does this usually take? I handed in my transfer form at a branch a week ago (15th March) and haven't heard anything yet, although I appreciate it hasn't been long. Should I expect a confirmation letter or something at some point or do you only get that if you post the form? I'm not sure a 'thanks' when I handed it in constitutes a confirmation, and presumably if they send a letter, it provides more information?

I opened mine online on the 5th, and I received a letter (dated the 5th) shortly afterwards confirming the account had been opened. I posted my transfer form to them, which they received on the 9th, and I received a letter a couple of days later (dated the 9th) confirming the transfer form had been received.

My personal experience is absolutely nothing.

Same here. A letter confirming account number and then nothing after that. Not even a letter to confirm the transfer has taken place.

apart from the transfer request confirmation I got one letter confirming the transfer amount, and then another after the extra interest had been added, but I was in early as soon as I read about the account here. Maybe they had such a response that the've got a backlog to work through?
  • Very impressed with this service, applied last Monday and funds transfered this Monday, :j

That would be good, but from what others are saying, I'm not optimistic about getting anything at all.

Someone else on here was saying their transfer also took about a week. As there's no sign of anything happening with mine, and I haven't heard anything, I'm getting paranoid that the woman I handed the form to accidentally put it in the bin or something! It's only been just over a week though, so I'm probably just being impatient.

I went back to the branch where we handed ours in about 10 days later, and they were able to check that the transfer team had the paperwork and were dealing with it. That was in December.

We didn't get any progress report otherwise, just a letter afterwards, and the ISA Certificate.

We have now organised 2 more transfers-in, this time the guy at the branch entered it all on the system while we waited and checked we had all the account numbers etc correct.......he must have been having a slow morning!

Will be interesting to see how efficient they are this time.

Ooh, ISA Certificate sounds interesting. Mine has been open over 4 weeks and haven't had one of these yet. :p

That's odd. We just moved from ISA 3 to ISA 4 and got a new Certificate after about 2 weeks.

I set up an ISA a few months ago while it was at 2.8% (3% for Reward Current account customers)

Now it's gone up to 3.2% (I'm a Reward customer) can I get it...upgraded or something?
