Thanks very much for the reply, but I don't think that answers the question.
That reply talks about the bonus interest for being a Halifax customer.
I am asking how will I know when the clock starts ticking (and hence when the year ends) once I've transferred to Direct Issue 4.0 -
Does anyone know when the "clock starts ticking" on the Issue 4 when your transfer.
It's quite obvious it doesn't happen over the phone but an instruction is sent to the relevant department.
I called 13th March.
How will I know what date the 12 months starts on?
I want to know (for interest purposes) when the 12 month period will end.
Thanks and apologies is I've missed this on this 13 page thread.
Not quite the same scenario, but I opened a new Direct Reward ISA 4 to transfer from Barclays. The date that's appeared on my online statement is the date that they received the funds, ie the 14th. However, I'm supposed to receive interest from the 9th (the date that they received the transfer form). When I rang Halifax, they said that automatic notes had been sent to the transfer department, and the date would be adjusted accordingly by them (possibly by the end of the month). So, maybe they'll do the same thing for those that have swapped from the 3 to 4, ie a new effective date will appear once the transfer's been actioned.0 -

It should be the date you phoned.
Should you still be on Issue 4 in a year's time, then the bank will send you a letter with your maturity date about 3-4 weeks before the date.0 -
I have 6 accounts with Halifax, including a FRISA. Phoned up to open the Direct Reward 4. On the phone for 15 mins only to be told it will be another 15 minutes to complete the process.
They already have all my details.
Why does it take so long ?
I wil end up opening one somewhere elseMortgage free

Why not do it online?
When I phoned again to advise them of this they said go in without logging on, of course this was nonsense as I got the same message.Mortgage free

In that case there's probably something in your internet settings that's preventing you from continuing - try clearing your cache/cookies or using a different browser for the application.0 -

BUT this morning (17.03.11) the account now says ISA Saver. It did say Direct Reward 3. I'm hoping when I look tomorrow it will have changed again to Direct Reward 4. Fingers crossed.
(I have the old online layout still )
It still says ISA Saver
Do you think it will still take another few days??????????????0 -
That is a long time now, I would be ringing them just in case there is a problem.0

agreed, the web list of accounts should be updated in 4 to 6 working days according to my update and others here.0
