I don't care what anyone says but a Big Mac is absolutely gorgeous and I have one every now and then and look foward to it.
If I really want to pig out I'll have a kebab after a few bevvys.
I'd say this works out at about once a month, if that.
Curiously, a KFC would never cross my mind although I love chicken.0 -

My husband always makes me laugh because if we fancy a takeaway, he begs for the most disgusting kebab. We stopped having indian when it no longer felt 'dirty' enough.
I think takeaways are his way of rebelling against the world.0 -

I don't see what the advantage is of eating KFC over making your own. The food you make will be cheaper, healthier, easier and tastier. There is no reason at all to use the fast food restaurant, and they shall never disappear if people keep on using them "every now and then".
As for having "eaten at some of the best restaurants in the country". Frankly, saying something like that when you're also jumping to the defence of KFC is a lot like saying "it's alright being a !!!!!phile, because I work in a nursery".
All I meant was that I don't see a problem with the odd unhealthy meal as long as it doesn't become a regular thing. Eating a KFC daily is obviously a stupid idea but once a month won't do any damage.
I also like the taste. I just think it's incredibly naive to assume that someone who eats in KFC is lazy and doesn't know anything about food. I prepare my own food the majority of the time from scratch and I've eaten at several of the restaurants featured in the S.Pellegrino World 50 top restaurants list, so I really don't think I fall into either of these categories. Im sure many of the other posters here don't either.
It's convenience food, nothing more but no one will say different. I think you've got little argument when you haven't even tried it yourself before anyway.0 -
I am not the "food police". I am simply someone who cares about food, local business and helping others make the right decisions. I am not "lecturing" you or anyone else.
I will not apologise for speaking out against people eating fast food though. Supporting these so-called "restaurants" is WRONG and there is absolutely no excuse for it.
You act as though you HAVE to eat fast food, as though it is your only choice, when it is just as a result of your laziness and their marketing that make you walk through their doors to empty your wallet.
Please think twice about what I'm saying and make a change for the better.
