Hello there peeps, sorry I've been a bit absent from this thread since joining the group, I just seem so busy.
Well I'm doing the old spending diary thing and so far have nowt written in which is good. I'm so eager to save now, I feel really impatient. I've got a lot of things for sale on our intranet board at work, but the recent stuff (CDs) hasn't gone yet, although so far I've sold 2 DVDs, 2 PS1 games and some odd books, so not bad. We are thinking about doing a carboot on Sunday if the weather is ok, but not entirely sure what we are going to be selling yet - I need husband to have a good luck under the bed to sort out his stuff!
My task now (as I feel I keep saying on every post I write) is to reduce my overdraft so I feel I am making a real difference and free up more money. I've just got to be really really good with my spending which isn't easy with Christmas looming - that's what worries me now, having to spend on that.
Anyway, that's it for now...0 -
Hey there Skint Monkey, take it one day at a time, no need to worry bout Christmas just yet. can you agree with family members on token gifts or home made? what about getting stuff from ebay?0

Only one phone call today, from Bank of Scotland. My DD answered and by the time I went to the phone they had gone. They are calling me every day, but not unpleasant, say they still havnt heard from CCCS, but the first payment is due to be made on 25th anyway so the offer must be in their system somewhere!
Living out the freezer & cupboard too, made a pot luck pasta tonght & tomorrow its spam & chips! Have only 2 apples left, no other fruit, so worried about kids vitamin levels! (They are more concerned about the lack of chocolate)
Have no money left whatsoever, am considering pawning something till payday!

Hi all
How's it going with everyone?
I am in a more "go get' em" mood today-things just get on top of me.
such as... the letter I sent to the Landlord(business premises, ceased trading 1 month ago from there) has been returned unopened today-sent it Recorded Delivery so dunno if she even bothered picking it up or simply that each attempt to deliver it was unsuccessful.Just pondering what is the best route with it now-they have not been in touch at all even though they have my email addy and phone numbers. I wonder if they think I did a moonlight flit?
Barclays have cancelled remaining direct debits from Business account that I am claiming bank charges on-dunno if this is the cause or it is that no money has been paid in for a month now?
I also think my dog has kennel cough (just researched it on Google) so that is another trip to the vet (last one was 2 weeks ago and cost £43!) and more money to get her checked out..
I sorted through the filing cabinet yesterday and got all the paperwork/totals needed for the National Debtline's summary to send to creditors.Just need to photocopy that now.
I am going mad at my broadband supplier who still have not fixed a fault-it is now 12 days, they said it was fixed on Monday-still no connection.I am using dial up and this chokes the phoneline up and clients can't get through-but there are a few things I need to get online for to check during the day.Plus the expense..grrr
This is making it difficult as now my printer that was on the network has gone on strike,so all the letters I need to post off I can't!!Will look at it again in a mo.
These things are sent to try us I guess.
eBay sales are going well, although some newbie left me my 1st neg because her item got damaged in the post(????) I have also got some great bargains for xmas pressies that are arriving now.
I have switched all my incomings to new A & L account and today will swap some dd's over.
Time just goes doing all this stuff doesn't it?Better go-check back later with you all,see how your day has gone.Fabi x0 -

If people are selling stuff on ebay they could be of use to some one else eg pressie's etc so when you list things on ebay why don't you put your usernames on to then we might be able to help each other out too.

eBay have had a promotion on that has been extended for today too (some mess up with their system)I think it is offer free postage and it's 5p to list and you get a Gallery update.
But please check as I only skimmed through the details and have not had time to list anything yet.
Tiny-are we allowed to do that on here?Fabi x0 -
