  • Good evening Mutual Supporters

How has your day been? Fabienne hang in there hon - you're doing eveything you can. Some days are really sent to try us, especially when you're a DFW.
My day's been fairly uneventful - walked to the docs to save on petrol earlier (prescription covered by Maternity excemption) so no spend there - But I couldn't resist some Smokey Bacon Crisps on the way home!!
waiting for my paypal money to hit my account - really could do with it tomorrow as the freezer's beginning to look a little bare (listen to me, not so old mother hubbard!)

Hope you've all had a grat day.
  • Hi everyone..hope you are all okay.

Tinytot..I have not been able to use Justabank yet either..I though they said that they would send an email so that we can log on. But it i still early days and I am getting really P---sed off with Capital One..they have rung every 15 mins since 5pm when I got in. I am gonna have to turn the phone off its getting so bad !

Anyone tell me how long it takes to get their A&L account up and running..got my account numbers and pin but no Electron card or Cheque/paying in books yet ????

Had a good day today..only spent £2 and proud of that fact !

Hope we are all okay and Fabi..well done with your happier post !..keep your chin up !

    Bye S x
  • Hi everyone,
I'm just logging off now, but would just like to say how wonderful it is to be able to answer the phone today! Now have also spoken to Lloyds TSB and explained that I've turned to PayPlan - only GE Money and HSBC to go...

Feeling better and better about being in control!

  • Hey There supporters - how are you all doing?

I'm going to ring my ccs today (before they ring me) to cancel all PPIs and see if they have anything else they wish to say to me. Can't bear the thought of sittin at home waiting for calls, Attack being the best line of defense I'm going to go for it.

Have also cancelled my ntl package and am going back to BT next month - have to give 30 days notice on that one. They offered me all sorts of things to stay - amazing considering how unhelpful they were 6 months ago when I wanted to reduce my package.

Also got letter from First Direct (am starting to reclaim charges) telling me that they will send statements for free and returning my £10 cheque - hilarious when you consider the publicity this week about their £10 fee. Does anyone know if you can still reclaim charges from credit card companies now that they have dropped charge to £12?

Ooo and my pampers vouchers are actually being bid upon on ebay - Now that is a surprise!!

    Till Late Debtor Pals

  • I don't see why you shouldn't be able to reclaim your charges. I am going to have ago.

Hope every one is having a spend free day!!!!!

  • I believe you can still reclaim, even if you want to play safe and just go for the charges before they reduced their "fees", you can still go back 6 years.

Try the Consumer Action Group website for detailed info, they're really helpful.

  • thanks guys
  • Hi

I would like to join the gang but (and excuse me for not knowing) I have just had my lightbulb moment this week and dont know what a DMP or such like is.

Please can someone explain what it is?

    Thanks

    Heddwen

    :o
  • Hi Hedwen and welcome to the club.

A DMP is a Debt Management Plan - you can set them up thgh CCCS (Links on site or Payplan. You send them the details of all that you owe and who and they broker a deal with your creditors. You pay the monthly payment to them and they share it out amongst them all.
They work the same as the debt consoladation companies but are registered charities and are not out to make money from us.
Hope that helps - Let us know how you get on and Well done for the Light Bulb Moment - I think that's the hardest step.
