Hello O/S'ers!
Would really love some advice concerning a lonely tin of Berlotti Beans that are lurking in my cupboard! I have no idea what to do with them.
Also any "paint by numbers" type instructions concerning cooking said beans would be hugely beneficial and warmly welcomed!!
Also I have tinned toms, kidney beans, tinned sweetcorn, onion, pasta, peppers, frozen spinach, peas, rice.
Thank you kindly in anticipation.** Proud to be dealing with my debts **LBM - Jan 2009 _pale_ : £24,802.21 :eek:February 2010 :silenced: : £18,078.47 (not including OD)July 2010= £16,819.34 (not including OD)

I used a tin to make bean burgers a couple of weeks ago and they were really nice. I used this recipe but didn't use all the ingredients listed.Grocery challenge - Nov: £52/£100

I would probably make a Spicy Bean stew/casserole by frying onion (maybe carrot, celery, bacon if I had) adding tinned tomatoes, chilli powder and/or smoked paprika (gives a nice BBQ sauce flavour) cook the sauce till the veg are almost cooked then put in the beans (borlotti & kidney, sweetcorn, peas), continue cooking till the beans etc are heated through and the sauce has thicken, add salt & pepper to taste, serve with some crusty bread/pitta/tortillas.Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61

would it be ok to add all the items in my cupboard?
I'm trying to live off that for the rest of the week only buying bits to add.( I buy my meat from the butchers on the day I need it so this can be included). Thanks

(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...:D:D
