Thanks you for all the great ideas...all is not lost. I'll put the milk to good use.

I was going to try and make fudge and as my OH was going to the supermarket, asked him to buy condensed milk.....I am sure you can guess what he came back with..

Dizzy old me did exactly the same at Mr T last night....I also walked ten yards past my front door when I got home before realising something wasn't right....clearly I can't cope with yellow sticker excitement!! So that was the planned banoffee pie up the spout, but there's some good ideas here so thank you:)

I've picked up a tin of crushed pineapple rather than pineapple rings, originally intended for my 3yr old sons pud....now I'm thinking a cake of some sort? Any ideas?

That's funny pickle, I usually can't find crushed pineapple when I need it! It's in a fruit cake I make which I can post if you like, but I have this which I knew would come in handy one day - it's from that book using just 3 or 4 ingredients, but I haven't tried it:

    Easy Pineapple Cake
    250g SR flour
    200g caster sugar
    430g tin crushed pineapple

Preheat oven 180c. Sift flour into bowl, combine with sugar then add entire contents of tin of pineapple and mix till just combined. Pour into greased 22cm cake tin and bake for 40 mins.

Upside down pineapple sponge pud? Pour off the liquid into a pan, add sugar if there is none, simmer and reduce until it's a thick syrup. Put the pineapple into the bottom of a pudding basin, pour on the syrup, add a sponge mix on top and bake as per your sponge pud instructions.

Or "Eton mess"... make or buy some meringue and break it into pieces. Pour off the liquid and save it for a syrup for something else, pat the pineapple dry and add it. Whip some cream and stir it all together. Served in balloon red wine glasses it looks dead posh :)

What is pak choi? What does it taste like and what do you do with it? :D
(scared by the foreign fancy name :rotfl::rotfl:)

As said it is chinese vegetable. Used in stir fries, or - and I love this - steamed with a little oyster sauce poured over it as a side vegetable dish.
That is how they prepare it in chinese restaurants - I always order it!

I never tasted real oyster either!!!:D Not sure I would want to either.
It's just like plum sauce or something... not sure how high the actual content of oyster is in it, it's slightly salty and you put just really little bit on it - it's a bit like soy sauce, but thicker.
