Hi everyone,
I have a few bits that are in dire straights of needing used and wondered if anyone had any idea's of what I could do with them. I pretty much have everything I could need in addition but what I need ideas for are:
Chocolate cake with gooey centre (this can be eaten alone of course but I can add it to something else if needs be)
Almost a full tub of double cream
Meringue nests
Ideally something using icing sugar since my mum came round with a huge box of the stuff and I already have one! Thanks in advanceCredit Card: £796 Left/£900 October 2011 :eek:Store Card: £100 October 2011

chocolate 'mess' comes to mind dusted with icing sugar, even better if you have some chocolate you can melt and pour over as well.Wins: 2008: £606.10 2009: £806.24 2010: £713.47 2011: 328.320 -
What should I do with the crumbly cereal bits that are always left at the bottom of the cereal box? Kids don't like them as they say it goes soggy when you add the milk. Seems such a waste!
Any suggestions would be really appreciated!!

Throw 1p's worth of corn flake crumbs away or make flapjacks you wouldn't otherwise have made to use them up?
Which of those is the best use of time and money?0 -
And if somebody was going to make themselves a pudding/treat/snack/cake anyway...?

Can I start?
I have 2 tins of salmon, what can I do with these? Not keen on it hot.
Hope this helps a few of us with storecupboard items we then have no idea what to do with
Canned salmon is a great sushi filler! You can put canned salmon inside sushi nori rolls with a bit of mayonnaise, and either avocado, cucumber or other sushi fillings.
Ingredients: nori (dried seaweed) sheets, available at Waitrose, Sainsburys/etc and oriental/international supermarkets, short grain rice, mayo, and veges of your choice.
Cook the rice, mix in some mayo, half a teaspoon of sugar and salt.... then lay your rice down on the seaweed sheet, then the salmon, veges and a little dollop of mayo. Roll up. Cut up. Dip in soy sauce to taste and you can even dip in some Wasabi/horseradish sauce if you have any. Really yummy0 -

Hi-I find coconut milk is a staple ingredient for a thai green/red curryYou only need some chicken/veg and some thai curry paste (which lasts ages as you only need a spoonful)
Only thing is I'm not sure about the fat content in coconut milk?
Hope that helpsxx
