Nope didn't see that documentary the other night, can believe it though. Will you see if you can find it and will then try and watch it.
I try and stay away from diet foods as such with all the scary stuff that is coming out about aspartame. Plus I have IBS and can't tolerate diary products which seems to be in most foods and am finding that I can't tolerate beef, pork or tuna too as these too are having and adverse effect. Plus to my dismay even goats cheese...
Have been on SW diet for about 4 weeks managed to lose 6lbs but feel so ill doing it for the above reasons. Will take ages for my stomach to settle back downbut during these times I feel so ill that I really need to go back to basics. Plain home made food which will be this weekends food stuff...hopefully the migraines/feelings of tiredness and aching joints will go too :j
Then will have to hit the wii fit big time...not literally tho'
xx
I am sure that I read somewhere that if you only stuck to food which were less than 3% fat per 100g you would lose weight without even trying ..........or is that just wishful thinking?? :rotfl:Total debt £[STRIKE]37864.78 [/STRIKECOLOR=purple][STRIKE] £31681.03[/STRIKE] -£16700

Aspartame - yeah, it worries me too. The worst thing is that it's on sugar free squash which I like to drink. I might try and see which ones don't have it in.
IBS for me is a bit unknown really.. I've not tried to work out what causes it yet. I've also had my gall bladder out, so that can cause an upset tummy too. I'm a mess lol.I have been eating much less dairy now, eg cereal every day and chocolate etc.. so I do think I am sensitive to dairy. & I'm eating wholemeal bread now, just 1 roll at lunchtime, I do feel better for that, but still not sure if my body likes bread foods. I don't do pasta very well either!
I seem to be fine with yoghurts.
Oh, and being stressed makes it 100 times worse. I always have toilet 'issues' the day after an argument or a bad day at Uni..9/70lbs to lose0 -

Oh I know what you mean, I'm meant to be doing some Uni work but just can't get into it at all lol.
I guess watching BBC iPlayer at work might be frowned upon haha, shame though, would make work much more interesting
I'm mega bored today, can't seem to be interested in doing anything. The sun is out and I should go for a walk really but I probably won't.. feel really bloated still from last night, walking would probably help.
Do you use your Wii Fit much?9/70lbs to lose0 -
I started off with all good intentions with the wii but then it kinda fell by the wayside...was doing the step on it and would do that for 30 mins after I had been at gym at lunchtime, but for the past two weeks that has slipped as my gym buddy wasn't feeling too good and then this week my IBS has been shocking so didn't feel like going either.....having to open 2 locked doors/gates to get out of the gym then having to lock them again and then getting to the loo's only to have to unlock and then relock the door before could go. Recipe for disaster !! :embarasse
I do like doing the wii as its easier for me to do (although the hardened keep fitters etc might not agree), I am planning on starting running again next week. They started a running club at work and the first time I ever ran they did 3.5 miles which nearly killed me  then one of the guys thought that I had done really well cos it had taken 1hr 10mins...:T OMG....the next day I couldn't walk was so stiff, all agreed to far for first run etc... tbh it put me off a bit...especially been a bigger lady than the others...but then did a 1.5 mile run/walk which I quite enjoyed !!! My other running buddy has come back off nights and has suggested we run next week and then hoping to hit the gym twice next week too...
Watched the The big fat truth about low fat foods...what an eye opener...sent it to my mum and my friend...quite disgusting what goes into food really
Hope you have a good day I really should get some work done but will keep dropping by as the day progresses...:)Total debt £[STRIKE]37864.78 [/STRIKECOLOR=purple][STRIKE] £31681.03[/STRIKE] -£16700

3.5 miles?! I could no way do that! I'm not surprised you felt rough the next day lol.. Keep at it though, when I lost weight before I got into running and really did progress so quickly, can't wait to get back to it.
Your IBS sounds worse than mine.. I'm luckily in that I can just about wait if I feel an urgent need and I'm out and about, although I do get a bit embarrased if I'm at Uni and need the toilet, which is usually all the time as stress sets it off and I get stressed about Uni lol.. viscious cycle I guess!
Didn't have a great dinner last night, the oven broke mid way through cooking dinner! Not sure what's wrong with it, arranging someone to come and have a look at it. Spoke to our landlady for the first time, she lives miles away and previously just dealt with the letting agent. She was so nice and we had a nice chat, so that's good. She's happy for us to continue to rent after our first 6 months is up, so that's a relief & had no problems with getting the oven fixed.
I think I'm really dehydrated.. I've woken up with a 'fat head' for 2 days now, and slept in later than usual by a long way.. My wee is pale one minute and dark the next ?? So I'm trying to get loads of fluids in today and hope tomorrow I feel more alert.
Got my 1st semester Uni results today - eeek! I didn't fancy the 60+ mile round trip to get them from the noticeboard so I rang the course administrator who knows me and she wasn't meant to, but gave me my results on the phonebless her.. saved me £15 in fuel and parking..
So, for my first 4 modules I've got 76%, 80%, 62% and 74%.. I'm so happythe exam I thought I'd messed up I got 75% in! been worrying about that for weeks now!
Glad you got to watch that programme, it was a bit shocking really. It's certainly opened my eyes up to 'low fat' foods and made me realise that the rubbish they put it to give it flavour is just horrid! erghh..
Hope you have a good day too!

Felt rough even the day after the day after the first bout of feeling rough...:rotfl:
Well done on passing the exams...what a bonus huh? especially if you thought that you had done so well... (coke though and after last night not the diet stuff either!!)
My IBS does flare up especially when trying to follow a diet, can't eat half of what they advise...so just gonna allow it to settle down by eating less of what I normally do. :A
Better get some work done, hoping to get my desk free of caseloads this afternoon ready to do it all over again on Monday :j plus just returned from the pub for lunch (oops taken a bit longer than I thought)
its Friday afterall ....
If it don't get back on today/this evening hope you have a lovely weekend and will catch up with you soon xxTotal debt £[STRIKE]37864.78 [/STRIKECOLOR=purple][STRIKE] £31681.03[/STRIKE] -£16700

Ooooh coke, don't temp me
I also can't eat '5 a day' it would cripple me! lol.
Might be going to play pool or going cinema tonight, so it'll be nice to get out of the house, especally after exam results - yay! weight off my mind!
I can't wait to start working again, really miss my old job and my workmates. The whole place was made redundant last May, and I still miss everyone and the good times we had. I've been looking for a part time job but nothing yet, and also sent 54 CV's to local Quantity Surveyor firms but nothing yet either, I've had about 10 letter back saying thank you for the letter but that they don't have any jobs.. really nice of them to at least reply to me
Lost my motivation today, just not feeling 100%, might be diet, or coming down with something? just feel incredibly lazy all of a sudden, yesterday as well..
Hope you get your work done! Have a great weekend
