Heyyyy.. gosh it's been ages since I last posted!

Everything going very well at the moment, just uni work is killing me lol.. seems to be non stop working on assignments of various types. Only about 4-5 weeks to go, so just got to get through this last push and then get a job for the 5 months of summer break :D money!

We had a great weekend, I went football with him on Saturday, and Sunday we went to a carboot sale and did some garden stuff shopping at B&Q, was just a really good weekend and enjoyed it a lot.

I'm all set to go home in 2 weeks for Mothers Day weekend, at my dads on the Sat &Sat night, then mums for the sunday :D feels great to have my own plans although I still feel guilty that OH will be on his own, but then I was never invited to football that Sat and so I should be able to do what I like for the weekend, well, he is!

A bit fell off my exhaust on the car :( a bracket. It's due it's MOT at the beginning of April, so now there are a few things that need fixing.. it's going in the garage on Monday to be sorted hopefully. Nightmare!

A lovely day again here! Heading off to Uni in half hour, so I hope it's a nice day.. bit of a pain though as I have a lecture at 12-1, then nothing until 4-5 as a lecture got cancelled that's usually 2hrs.

Anyhow, I hope everyone is doing okay and enjoying the weather!! :D

BF - I've decided on doing a mild Atkins at the moment.. Bread is killing me ! I haven't had an energy drink in a long time now, but it's the bread and sugar that is making me bad. Had bacon, beans and mushrooms today so far.. let's hope it helps to wake me up out of this permanent slumber.. ;)

  • I felt the same way when I posted on my diary today, its just been a bit of a hectic weekend with one thing and another so haven't really had chance to get on over the weekend or yesterday.

So today was just really a catch up on what was going on with everyone....

Its good that you have something planned for the Mothering Sunday weekend. Will do you both good to have some separate 'ME' time and then when you get back home together you can have a nice meal.

BTW ....Saw the Riverplate its on The Calls, have driven past it every week, thought that I recognised the name although wasn't too sure so yesterday made a point of looking for it when I was driving towards the motorway home....I am having a few probs with eating meat again !! My OH eats (or did) eat a majority of vegetarian foods before we got together..... but as I can't eat soya then it has usually put me off, so its back to living on chicken and fish....and more veggie stuff, OH will be happier as he said that I had turned him back into a carnivore...lol it was meant as a joke. If we ever went out he would always eat vegetarian....but not anymore...he wouldnt eat a steak or anything like that....but then I can't remember the last time that I had one.......

Oh well s'pose better get back to the grindstone....nearly home time :T

My OH doesn't eat cheese, he just won't tolerate it, he isn't allergic we don't think.. so he gets really ratty when people scoff 'you don't eat cheese?! freak!'.. and yeah people have said that, so called friends, he finds it really hurtful and unfair.

    I completely understand that!

I don't eat cheese either. I don't like it, and it makes me sick. When I was younger, and I would refuse cheese (or anything with cheese in it) saying simply that I didn't like it, I'd get similar comments. And often 'what about this chees, or that cheese or cream cheese. Oh, but it doesn't even taste like cheese, you'll love it.'! Used to drive me nuts! So insensitive, and rude, so I just started to say I was allergic to it.

Not a complete lie, as I do react very badly to it, so I have to avoid it completely anyway. That hasn't stopped some so called friends sneaking cheese into my meals before and being surprised when I'm vomiting violently less than an hour later.

Why does anyone think they have the right to a) tell me what I will or won't like, b) what I am or am not allergic/intolerant to and c) put my health at risk to try and prove themselves right?? Why does it matter so much to anyone else what I do and don't eat anyway?

I seriously don't get it. It makes me feel so angry, betrayed and not trusted by them. I would never dream of insisting that they had to eat peanuts and couldn't be allergic to them just because I love them and am not allergic to them. Baffles me, completely.

    Hey BF!

Sorry, I've not been keeping up with my diary very well of late!

Just posted another thread about an eBay pain in the bottom ! lol.. and getting myself into a pickle with all my uni assignments that I'm struggling to get a start on due to lack of concentration more than anything lol..

Everything has been going suprisingly well at home, which is great :D hopefully a nice weekend to follow!

Euronorris - I myself have said things about Mozzerella cheese to OH, 'It's doesn't really taste very cheesy, so you might like it'... ooops! I know to keep my mouth shut now as he just plain doesn't like it.. I guess I was trying to be helpful thinking he was missing out, but like he says, he isn't missing out when he doesn't like it :D very true! He will try a bit of pizza sometimes if there isn't too much cheese, he likes the ham and pineapple ones, but will only try it.. He will eat pizza if he has had a drink though? Is that something you have found? lol.

I like cheese myself, and dairy products but I don't have it that often really, and I only like mild white cheese, so he's not bombarded with the stuff as I only have it in a sandwhich now and then, or a pizza once in a while.

Diet is going very bad! lol.. although just staying the same at the moment. I think I'm just trying to get uni finished and struggling to concentrate on both at the moment!

Bit overcast here, is it nice in Leeds today?

    Gem xx

Oh, also with the cheese thing. We went snowboarding over xmas in France and our dinner was included.. so they asked if we were allergic to anything and we said OH didn't like cheese, and they weren't interested at all! So every other night we said 'allergic' to cheese and they were very accomodating! He honestly couldn't eat any cheese on food, so why not take it seriously if it spoils his meal?

It was funny when we said he could eat the cheesecake dessert though ;)

  • Hiya Gem  peeps :)

Well the bit of daylight that I can see looks a bit grey out there tbh...looks like the sun is trying to get out but think its on a non starter today....

The diet isn't going at all well and read up that the medication that I am on one of the side effects is weight gain  but I guess have to weigh up the pro's and con's as I am feeling much better....:)

Glad things are going okay relationship wise :)

am with you guys...when I can't have diary...peeps just don't realise the adverse effect on me and always say well surely a little bit won't harm...?!?!?! well yeah it will

Tbh I am dreading going away at the end of next month to the bike rally :o as we are camping but have been told that there will be loads of takeaway stuff to eat....OH says not to worry....they all usually get up and have a ride on the bikes to get breakfast which usually consists of a fry up at the local supermarket...can't eat the meat or the veggie option....:o so will be dry toast with beans for me....have said will need to take supplies so that I can eat :)...either that or will come back stick thin....:rotfl::rotfl:
