    Hi Keith

I had the same problem... it worked out that it was another 3 days before I could press judgement... My case is against Monument and they defended in the last couple of hours!
I just rang mycol and they told me when I could press judgement. I just spoke to the person I got through to and gave them my claim number.

Just try pressing judgement everyday until it goes through.
Light bulb moment April 07: [strike]£3,655 [/strike] Oct 07: [strike]£2,220[/strike] now 0 - 3 years of Uni debt to be added at a later date :o:D
now at Uni as a Mature student -update: now has a First Class BA!
  • Can anyone please advise me?? Nationwide have 'refunded' £865 but into the current account I used to use with them. (I now bank with the Abbey). As I don't have a card or a cheque book I can't access the 'refund'. The Court are now saying that they cannot rule as the money has been 'repaid', so how can I get to it?? To me this is still wrong. I have asked for a cheque 3 times now but they have ignored it. Does anyone know how I can resolve this? Anyone heard of similar problems? there must have been similar problems like this. Thanks in advance.

    Hello,
I posted a success story for my other half a few days ago, but it seems all is not well.
I have gone through the procedure myself and got money back from nationwide, my oh was following closely behind me, the mcol stated that they were going to defend (same as mine) when we received the papers from mcol it stated that nationwide has paid up on 23rd may. my oh checked his account and nothing....so he phoned nationwide solicitors and he said that it had been paid, He phoned nationwide and spoke to people there they stated that there was a problem the woman wouldnt say what and it looks like an error had been made and they need to send him a form out??????? she couldnt (or wouldnt) help anymore. I never had to do this, does anyone have any idea what it could be for?
    thx

  • Hi all, just a quick update, got the standard refusal letter this morning after 14 days exactly. "After careful consideration of your request, we're sorry that we can't agree to your charges being refunded....at the time you opened your account you agreed to terms and conditions.....etc"
Also attached copy of "5 simple ways to avoid bank charges"
So, onto next letter, am going to include new charges and show interest I could claim as well in court from the calculator.
    Best wishes all

    Hi,
Crazyworld, I have received exact same letter today. Just about to fill out the next letter also.
Glad to be moving this forward. At least now I know if in 2 weeks we haven't heard anything we go on to court.
    Good luck

Hi,I hope there is some-one out there who may be able to help me!
I am in the process of claiming back £539 from Nationwide. My question is they are still adding charges onto this account,as i no longer use this account the amount is £171 overdrawn.
    * If i win and get the £539 back will it get paid into the account that is overdrawn, meaning i will instantly loose £171???
    * Also i have sent the second letter off asking for the £171 to be cleared, was this the right thing to do?

Please help me,I have been fine until now and am just starting to panic.
    Thank you

    hi
did the same this morning, apparently that bank may put in a late defence and it would be accepted by the courts,so still playing the waiting game
