I'm trying to claim £3,400 from the Nationwide and have gone down the MCOL route. They have acknowledged the claim and on May 3rd said they are going to defend all of it.

I'm up for the fight but the response pack has been completed by Eversheds, with their full address and details, including the email address of the guy at Eversheds.

    Is this normal?

Hiya, nationwide acknowledged my claim on may 1st and also like you eversheds was named as their solicitor, this is normal don't worry, I think they have so many claims, they had no choice but to hire in help, in our case its eversheds. Do you have their email address, could you possibly pm me with it please as all I had was the address.

    Hi All

Well hopefully someone can help! I took Nationwide to court using mcol the claim was issued on the 20th April the acknowledgment of service was filed on the 27th April & on Nationwide behalf Eversheds said they were going to defend. I have had no computer for the last month have had no way to get on line to ask what to do next.

Any help would be really really appreciated as im getting in a bit of a panic that I may have left it too late!!

    Cheers in advance.

    Tim

Yea they acknowledged on 1st May, but the claim was served to them 27th april giving them 28 days from then, the 25th.

I decided against emailing after reading a few threads about being paid up in full 3 or 4 days before the end of the 28 days. It would be nice if I was paid up before, Im off to Cyprus on the 23rd, Id really have a great holidaythen.

I have recently had Nationwide send me a second rejection letter, to which I am not happy. The second letter was the same as the first, just with a different date on. Now the next step is court, and I am as skint as a mother trucker, being a student and all, and need to stump up £120 for the amount that I want to claim. I was just wondering if anyone had previous experience and knew how long the whole process took? As any money I use to go to court will be coming out of what I need to pay rent!?!? Parents are tighter than a ducks behind, so they are no help!!!

    Many Thanks in Advance

    Hi

I am just about to do mcol and want to know if I can add the court costs that I will be paying upfront in the amount claimed?
