  • Hi-Like most of you I have summond the courage to follow Martins advice and seek to get my bank charges back. I have written to the Natonwide with the £10 and they sent me my charges. I then asked for them back with interest, I have had a letter back saying that although they feel that my feed back was absolutely invaluable and they are grateful for the opportunity to explain the rationale behind thier charging policy but, basically after careful consideration they can not agree to my charges being refunded. They then have enclosed a leaflet tht explains their Internal Complaints Procedure. I have now sent them the letter teling them I am have not received a satisfactory response ans that I intend to claim through the county court. I posted the letter and now I am scared to death!!! I guess I just have to wait the 14 days now, has any one else taken on the Nationwide??

Looking for advice and moral support H.E.L.P!!!:money:
  • sorry this is a question not a reply.

i have more than one account with nationwide. should i get all my statements and total the amount before asking for my money back or can i send two seperate requests for money??????

    is anyone able to help??!

You can do the claim as one but if you have any debt on one account they are likely to put any monies reclaimed into that account so have a think about it first.

nationwide acknowledged my claim with mcol and the 28 days are up tomorrow. I have not heard anything as yet. They closed my account a year or so ago so they would have to pay me by cheque.

my question is if i dont hear anything tomorrow what do i do?
    what is the next step?

    Please help!

As they have only acknowledged, not defended YET, wait till tomorrow an give the court a ring, if still no defence I believe you have won by default, either way the court will inform you of what do do next

Yes thank you to Martin, definitely.

I also relised today that my cashpoint card is expired , and guess what?? they havent sent me a new one!! i wonder why? ... think i can guess, they are now just trying to be awkward and make life hard for me. I am going in there this morning and drawing all the money out and closing the account myself, i already got another account with someone else, so i think its better to close it myself instead of letting them close it, cause that would look bad on me if they do that.

anyway good luck again to everyone who is still in the process of claiming, dont give up cause you will win at the very last minute!! .

    take care
