At exactly the same stage Alan.
Ignore them.
It's the final nail in their coffin.
You can either threaten them with court action or hand things over to the financial ombudsman.
I've decded to do the latter.0 -
Hi all I too have received the letter from Nationwide stating that they are going to defend my claim and giving me the name of the acting solicitor, their time up will be the 28th may due to my claim date being the 1st and they responded on th 10th. So hopefully they will not follow Lloyds and end up actuallly going to court and the judge ruling in their favour. Here's hoping that the bubble hasn't finally burst.0

Nationwide has just given me £141 as a correction in my bank account, do i still persue the interest and the court costs of £30? or do you think i should leave it as it is?

It won't set a precidence m8 as it was a county court and not a high court, there is a thread somewhere that has the details more in depth, Or CAG.0 -

They have been putting other peoples claims in over a period of a few days I believe, so you might get some more corrections over the next couple of days........when are your 28 days up?0 -
Well the £141 was the charges i was claiming back in total, but then there was about £26 interest and £30 charges. and the 28 days is up on thursday 17th May.
i have no idea what to do now, do i inform the court that they have paid that amount and let the claim for the rest carry on? or do i just quit while im ahead. i know its only a small amount, but im a single mum with 5 kids and that money would come in really handy, no matter how much it is.

Personally I would wait until the 17th and if they have not put it in, carry on through the courts for the rest, but congratulations on winning your charges back :beer:0 -
