Yes, carry on through all the steps, stick to the timescales. It seems as though Nationwide are forcing peole to go all the way, presumably hoping that people will drop off by the wayside! So just keep going, read all the messages and you will see that we are all at different stages.
I must say I've had several dubious moments, but I'd probably kick myself eventually if I gave up now.
There are a lot of very knowledegable people on here so we do have support.0 -
Hi all
Well I decided to take the Nationwide to court after following the correct procedures and not getting anywhere. I used the moneyclaim online site to do it which was pretty easy and straight forward. I have now received a Notice that Acknowledgement of Service has been filed. Which says they are defending the whole claim! It says they have 28 days to file a defence.
Now I feel I'm getting out of my depth as I've never done this before and they have a solicitor dealing with it!
Is there a chance I will not get my bank charges refunded? Has anyone else been in this situation?
Would be grateful for any kind words. Thanks0 -

Thousands of people have been in the same situation. The chances of you getting a full refund are excellent. Please read the Success story threads for inspiration and the Reclaim Help thread and Step by step guide in my signature for help.0 -

Hi
I'm afraid my experience with the Nationwide so far is they are very stubburn. I even phoned the day I was filing the court papers and explained that I have added interest etc. and it would be cheaper for them to pay up now but they still didnt want to know. In fact, they told me they had closed my file after my first letter and unless it was their fault the charges had been applied they would not refund!
Hence I have now gone down the court route and they have filed a defence!
You have to keep going and take them to court.
I'm hoping I'll get a refund at the end of it all but they are certainly not giving in!
Best wishes and good luck0 -

Hi I have issued court proceedings on Friday to Nationwide and now I don't know what to do next. could anyone help me please.
You wait. The Courts will send you a Notice of Issue and on it the bank has a date on it until the bank replies, over all its about 19 days, 5 days for the bank to receive notice that you've taken to court and 14 days after that they have to reply.
You may find more help in the Nationwide thread or the MCOL thread as many questions your thinking of will be found in there.
Good luck as I'm in the same position as you, I find a result by 1st May 07."I AM THE GATEKEEPER OF MY OWN DESTINY" Nacho Libre
