I have found my Nationwide charges over the last 6 years, however I have a couple of questions:
Do I send the first letter by recorded delivery to my branch?
Secondly, I am unsure whether to claim interest or not in my first letter. I was interested to know if those who have had success with the Nationwide claimed the interest back in their first letter too?
Thanks0 -

Hi Vinny
No mention of forcing us to close the account, just a letter explaining how to keep your account in credit and if you're not happy with that go elsewhere.
I've also noticed today that they've put a defence in on the MCOL but have paid up. Not sure what the logic there is.

Hi Keith!
You're not being a numpty lol we're all in the same boat!! If you want to file a claim you're best to do it on the Money Claim on Line site. It is really easy with instructions and everything is done for you. Go for it
You've nothing to lose and everything to gain!

Dear All
This is a great way to support & inform each other of "what is happening" out there in terms of reclaiming bc's it is a great comfort that one is not alone!!
Just had our judgement rejected which I now presume will mean a letter from the Northampton Court transfer proceedings to our local court. It will be interseting to see if we have to complete a AQ or not as some do some don't!! But it looks like Northampton have mostly dispersed this.
We ar enot looking forward to the paperwork as you can imagine but are determined to carry things through to the bitter end!!
It is encouraging that so many banks have settled at the last minute, here's hoping this is the case with us. Good luck to all and keep the info coming etc especially those that are claiming against Nationwide.
Many thanks to you all for the v useful information thus far!

Firstly ring tomorrow and ask what this money is for. We both know its in settlement of your claim but you want this in writingFrom there write and advise you will accept it as partial settlement without prejudice and will continue to reclaim the remainder through the court.

Nationwide. Judgment rejected:cannot continue further online Court.
Acknowledgment was due from Nationwide to Northampton Court 7th April.
Due to Easter holidays the Court rejected my attempt to enter judgment by default until 10th April. There was no acknowledgment from Nationwide at the
time I requested Judgment and my request was accepted. There was acknowledgment from Nationwide later that date. Yesterday I noticed "Claim rejected" "Can no longer claim line". I do not know if I have lost £120 court fees and don't know what happens now.0 -
Hi to all,
Just as a point of interest, I have already,SUCCESFULLY! got my charges back from Abbey. I am now in the process of taking Nationwide to court 1st letter was answered 2nd ignored, when I first asked for 6 years of statements I did not use the template letter, they answered saying that there would be a charge of £5 per statement, I then used the template letter and 2 weeks later received a big envelope with all my statements at a cost of £10.
The cost of submitting the claim is £120 but when(hopefully) I get ny charges they are £2500, with the Abbey fight I settled for a lower amount, because my Business Cheque book, Guarantee card etc. are all still in place, but Nationwide I am taking ALL THE WAY! no compromise.
