Hi, I'm thinking of claiming my bank charges from the nationwide and need to request a list of bank charges. Looking at earlier posts I've seen a different address to send my request to than the one recommended on the site. As I've seen some people having their cheque cashed with no sign of documents I want to make sure I have the best address. Can someone who has successfully received the list of charges tell me which address they sent their request to. Thanks.0

Hi everyone
this is my first claim of three against Nationwide, i have gone through the process as per instructions on this web site and have taken Nwide to court they have defended the claim and their 28 days is up 2morrow 05/07/2007 could someone please explain what happens next if they dont reply.0 -
Do you mean they have acknowledged rather than defend? Have a read of Beate's post in the Reclaim Help Thread, link in my signature, regarding the timings of what happens or indeed doesn't happen next.0

iNationwide have acknowledged and have said they will defend, that was dated 07/06/2007 so 28 days from then is 05/07/2007,
i must be a bit simpple but i cant find link you mentioned0 -

Hi first time poster here.
I requested my charges summary which duly came.
I calculated my charges to be £1500.
Sent away the first request letter from here to reclaim £1600+ including charges, got the usual reply.
Sent the 2nd letter away on June 9th, so the 14 days is up this weekend.
Should I give them longer or take it to the Ombudsman? (not court as I live in Scotland and the charges are more than the £750 limit)
As an aside, I was overdrawn on the account and they passed that to an agent to collect, I have informed them that I am reclaiming charges and suprisingly enough they have been ok about giving me time. The account was still active as of when I started the claim, but I checked yesterday using the bank card and the cach machine kept the card and referred my to the bank.
Should I read anything into this?
I received nothing in writing from them telling me that the account was being closed, I share my girlfriends account just now, but this leaves me without an account of my own at present.
Nationwide are now late in replying to my 2nd letter as detailed above.
What would you suggest as my next step?
Should I re write to them insisting I receive a reply within 7 days or just take it to the next stage.
I am not giving up on this, taken it this far and not letting them beat me.0
