Anyway I started my claim in February and I am up to the defence stage, I called the court today to ask if Nationwide had filed a defence (they had until the 25th June), the court told me that they were dealing with the cases in order?? and I have to wait, possibly a week - I asked if this meant that Nationwide had not filed a defence and was told "not necessarily" has anyone else experienced this and should I just wait or push for an answer, I don't want to give up now, it's been tough going. also claiming from Barclays, haven't found the thread for them yet!!Good Luck to everyone and look forward to receiving any advice and inspiration.
Hey fellow technophobe. The easiest way I found to get to the threads (but no doubt there is an easier way!) is
1. Click on reclaiming bank charges on the front page of the website
2. In red will be the step by step guide - click on finding out your charges (on the way you'll also find lots of handy hints about the process!)
3. Somewhere in the dialogue (underlined) will be data protection addresses - click on this
4. Scroll down towards the bottom and in blue (in alphabetical order) are the names of all the banks. Clicking on your chosen bank will take you to the relevant thread.
Hope this helps!!!:j

Start by finding out exactly how much your charges amount to by requesting your statements.
Follow the procedure step by step using the templates, judging by the amount you are indicating you have been charged above you should'nt have too much trouble getting your money back.

Good Luck! I've heard that Nationwide are going all the way, they have defended both my claims so far - do you know if they are paying up before court? I am willing to go to court and I guess I can find all the info I need on the site but if you or anyone has any tips and advice I would be really grateful to hear about them.Good Luck to everyone who is claiming..........0

Guys, I'm having a moment, I am divorced and one of the accounts I am claiming charges from was a joint account, my ex took the account on in his name only - when I filed my claim I combined the charges for both accounts as I couldn't afford two court fees @ £120.00. My own account is closed and now I'm worried that if Nationwide do pay up before court I won't know - can't imagine that the ex will tell me and it will be harder to get the money from the ex than it would be to get it from Nationwide - Oh Dear what have I done, I've only just realised and can't think straight......................0
