Thanks guys! Am sending another copy to the Branch Service Centre, Swindon and a copy to my local branch. I'll give them 14 days and then start my court claim... and the interest is still adding up! Cheers again x0

Hi all, hope all your cases are going well.
I filled the Ombudsman complaint form in on the 14th June for a refund of charges, and a letter was sent out to me on the 20th June saying that my case was now awaiting allocation to an adjudication officer.
Anyway, I logged onto my Nationwide account today, and found quite a strange transaction there for today - "Credit by cash" of £0.02.
I thought this was quite strange when I saw it, has anyone else had strange deposits made while they're going through a claiming process of such small amounts?0 -

Hi Princess, there were a couple of months where the interest charged was 2p. I'm wondering if perhaps this strange payment may be a refund of one of those amounts, maybe they're going through all the months I wouldn't have been overdrawn, and refunding the interest amounts first, before refunding the total in charges?
I really don't know though, it is strange isn't it.0 -

It must be something to do with that then if thats the only other reference to 2p on the statements. I'd write to them and tell them you'd prefer a refund of your bank charges they can keep the 2p :rotfl:

Well, i've just sent them a message through their secure messaging "service" saying i'm rather puzzled about a cash credit of 2p made today, and as I don't recall visiting a local branch to make a deposit of 2p, i'd appreciate any help as to what this 2p relates to.
Mind you, I don't really expect a response to any message sent through this "service", I haven't had one up until now, and I doubt they'll change the habit of a lifetime anytime soon.0 -

Hi Bankbandit
Im getting to that stage myself on a couple of accounts, and i know its stressfull but try not to let it upset you.
What ive read on this site and others is that the bank will pay you out on the 11th hour.
On the CAG website i saw court bundles check list which should help, and i went to the courts and asked the lovely assistant to check over.
Be calm and take a tab
Good luck0 -
