Hey.
Sent my letter requesting back the monies from the charges a week ago (standard 14 day letter as downloaded off this site). Am getting a little impatient and don't know whether to send 7 day letter now threatening court and then apply to MCOL? Will this affect my claim?
(letter was sent to my local branch by recorded delivery, which has been confirmed by the royal mail)Amount being claimed from Nationwide - £2794.50 + £524.09 in interest = £3318.59 + court fees = £3438.59
lodged with Moneyclaim online 29/06/2007
Amount to be claimed from HSBC - £730.00 (charges only). Email sent to customer relations 01/07/2007 & letter sent by recorded delivery 02/07/2007 (to be on the safe side!!!!!!)

Well done to all who have got charges back, its a good incentive for the rest of us!
I filed a claim with moneyclaim on 20th June for £2226 including interest & moneyclaim fee. Just a bit confused about when i can start judgement.. is it 14 days or 28??
Also will moneyclaim email when its been aknowledged or do i need to check the state of claim daily?
Thanks in advance

They like to drag it out but by look of threads they give in at last min so good luck

Have you rang the court?? They might have lost your case file?
I take it you haven't been waiting for the court date since Dec? but still a incredible amount of time to wait.
I got a partial refund from Nationwide and sent off the form to the court to say I'm still going ahead with the court part. That was only last week..
I am, however, still waiting for the court date for monument Credit Card... it's been over 3 weeks now and nothing.
I hope you don't have to wait much longer... I know there's a backlog because of us lot!
I would try ringing the court... I'm going to do that on Monday.. I have to look up the number first.

Hello guys, this is an amazing site. I am proud to be a member of it. I am (amongst 100s/1000s of others) in the process of trying to reclaim my bank charges. However I am no good at all this legal stuff, and without the letters that have been written by this site, I wouldn't have a clue what to do. I have already got copies of my statements, worked out all of my charges and sent them the letter requesting they pay it back. I just got a reply and it doesn't look good. I am going to read up more on the main site but I wanted to post this here so I can get other people's views. I am struggling for cash at the moment, so am kind of relying on this and so the sooner I can get this done, the sooner I can start worrying a bit less.
I have scanned the letter I got, I really am worried I will not see any of my charges, which, with the interest totals almost £1,100  They have said they are not prepared to pay, PLEASE could you take the time to read the letter I got, I am in need of hep from people who have experienced similar situations.

I really don't know what to do, as I was under the impression they would repy making an offer, with a load of bull*@$t about making a gesture of good will and offering an amount of money far less than what I was demanding. Could someone please help me with my next steps?
Thankyou very much0 -
Hi ray ray
Dont worry that is a standard letter everyone claiming from nationwide gets i got one also
The best thing to do is to go on to the next stage , telling them you will take them to court if you dont get your money, but you may not get a reply go to the help thread on this site.
I am also claiming from nationwide and at the acknowledge stage so they do make you go all the way, but by reading threads on here thay give in befor it gets to court
Good luck with your claim but DONT give in that is what they want  :beer:0
