  • What is the best address to send my letter to Barclays?

And when I recieve the statements what are the charges I should be looking to reclaim?

    Thanks
  • You need to read Martins article and the Reclaim Help Thread both linked in my signature where you'll find the answers.
  • I went over to Barclays offices in Isle Of Dogs today and dropped off my second letters (for 2 accounts) threatening them with court action...got the bloke in the loading bay (where all the mail, except stuff delivered by royal mail, goes) to sign for it too...He then went off to give it to them...I wonder what their reply will be.....

    Hi all,
I am in the process of closing my barclays account and getting ready to start the process. There is one point I am slightly worried about thoug. As well as my current account I also have a Barclaycard, if I go ahead and get my charges back can they turn around and ask for the money I owe on my Barclaycard back.
Also I don't think I have many charges on my credit cards but if I did want to claim these back, again can the companies ask for their money back in one go also?

    I await your knowledgeable replies
    thanks

  • Hi,

I've sent my first letter today

While im waiting, I have about 2 years worth of statements which I am working my way through.

I know I can claim the £30 'Paid referral fee' and the next transaction is
    '£13 Overdraft interest charged'

Could I claim this and what exactly is it?

    Thanks
  • I am about to send my second letter to Barclays (threatening court action). Now do, I send it to my local branch (same address as the first letter) or do I send it to their customer relations address (from the letter they sent me back saying they were looking into my compliant)?

    Thanks

  • I sent of my initial letter to Barclays almost 14 days ago (step 3). Today I got a standard delaying letter saying they are looking into my complaint and will hear back by 20th March. What should I do? Ignore it and go straight to stage 4 (threaten court action)?

Also, should I bother to recalculate my interest following another 2 weeks, and keep adding interest until they pay up?

Edit: sorry don't understand why this didn't get added to the main thread. I thought I hit Post Reply

Edit2: What do I put in the template letter where it says Name of Court? The above paragraph says county court so do I put [my county] County Court, [My town] Magistrates Court, or Wimbledon Tennis Court?

You can't claim the interest for going overdrawn, please read post 4 in the Reclaim Help Thread.
