Good news folks, my court bundles were posted by recorded delivery to the court and Barclays. Now I just have to wait....0

I posted my allocation questionnaire to my local county court yesterday. I watched the programme on ITV last night and it's really got me fired up!
After receiving my statements, I sent Barclays a letter requesting £1416.80 back (this wasn't including the interest at 8%). They wrote to me offering me £585! I rejected this offer and received no reply. I sent them another letter threatening court action, then a final offer of a settlement of £1250 (i thought the court may look more favourably on my attempt to settle out of court if it got that far).
I didn't receive a response to any of these letters (all sent recorded delivery-and received) so started my claim online. Barclays filed an acknowledgement and then a defence on the last possible day!
I was fuming about this until I saw on this site that Barclays are notorious for doing this!
My claim - including interest and costs - is now £1823.03.
So now I've started to do loads of reasearch so I'll hopefully be all prepared! It would solve alot of my debt problems if I win!0 -

Hello
What should I do if my bank do not reply to the letter requesting the money from charges with interest. I received a letter saying thanks for the complain and we will get back to you by 28th Feb, but not heard anything as yet.
If they haven't replied by this date, what are my options???
Any advice would be much appreciated!
Thanks0 -

Sent your letter to...
Barclays Bank Plc
Retail Banking Customer Relations
Lecicester

I would sent recorded delivery so they cannot say they didn't receive it..
Hope this helps you0 -
Hi there,
I'm reclaiming my charges with barclays, i've sent the 1st letter, which they replied to, and offered to pay a partial amount, but i want to claim the full amount. so i'm just filling out the 'take it to court' template letter and it mentions the interest, which i aren't claiming (don't understand the interest bit really). both the templates mention interest, even though it gives a choice of not to...what should i do? (i'm sounding really thick here but i don't know how else to best describe it) when i delete the bit that says about interest it doesn't make sense....
this bit - As I have not received a satisfactory response, I am writing to inform you I intend to claim the full amount claimed together with interest up to the date of judgment and court fees in the proceedings through the county court.
does anyone know what i mean?
help very much appreciated!
