Well... I have sent my first claim letter this morning by registered mail. So now waiting 14 days from tommorow.
I've got my fingers, toes and everything crossed that they give me back the money I have claimed.
It came to a total of £1189.69 with interest. I've just finished univeristy a couple of months ago and if I get the claim money back it will sort a big chunk of my finances out - I'll be able to pay off my overdraft and then concentrate on starting to pay off my other cards, etc.
Will update when I find out more :money:

Please can someone give me at bit of advise, I sent a letter to Barclays with a copy of all my statements requesting a refund of my charges. However they have sent me a reply saying they have to investigate this further and it could take upto 8 weeks for a responce. Should I except this and wait that time or is there something else I can do, as I feel that they are gonna make me wait the 8 weeks and then advise me the request has been rejected.0

This is a standard response, send out your next letter on your due date.
Meantime you might like to list all your charges with the date and description as the bank may well come back and ask you for this as apposed to copies of your statements.0 -
Hi
I had a reply from Barclays bank saying that they would get back to me regarding my 'complaint', before 26th Feb. They haven't replied.
What can I do?? Was thinking a phone call? But surely they can get in trouble from someone for not replying within the specified time??
Please help, I'm claiming over £2000 so want to do it properly and professionally!!
Thank you to anyone that can help me out

Thanks, what should I threaten them with now then? Do I hone them or send another letter? According to the Financial
Ombudsman, they have 8 weeks to resolve but must update. They have not updated!!
Thank you again, any more help will be appreciated!0 -
