  • Thanks Rex.

I'll set it out like that when i begin the rollercoaster
  • Good luck, my first time on any type of chat room so am a bit "green" but there certainly seem some helpful people on - I have lost my thread and I don't know how I will know when I get replies, so any help from anyone please.............

let us all know how you get on with Barclays - they don't seem the most helpful of the banks.

Your posts are further up this thread for Barclays so you just need to keep an eye on this thread.
  • Hi people, still a bit concerned about my court bundle. I now have the full file from Consumer Action Group, plus my bank charges list, in your experience will that be enough?
  • I actually did it, Barclays bank paid out in full without shutting down my account after just ONE letter!!!!!!!

I used the model letter on here and attached a spreadsheet detailing all dates, charges and what they were for.
    £745 in all.
They say they disagree with my claim but are willing to settle as a gesture of goodwill.
I can't beleive it, I was prepared for the full fight too.
Come on everyone, get your's back.
    ...Linda xx:rotfl:

Well done Linda! Hopefully I'll be posting the same thing too soon, but I'm still waiting for my statements. It's been 4 weeks since Barclays said they will sort them. How long did you have to wait?

The first page of the court bundle lists out what you should include. This is the basic bundle, and is more than OK for most people. If there is anything else you want to add, this is also fine (don't forget to add it to the index)

  • Barclays acknowledged my MCOL claim extending their time to 28 days, the 28th day is the 17th (Saturday), they've still not lodged a defence, if it reaches 17th with no word can I start judgement? Is it game over for them if it reaches that stage or can they still enter their defence after the court's 28 day deadline?

You can try to enter for judgement when the 28 days are up, but if the court receives a defence a bit late they normally allow the case to continue and dont allow judgement.

Cheers, I thought as much - I guess Barclays are wise to this and file on the 29th/30th day in order to drag every last day out of it.

How long did it take for them to send your statements after you request them? I got the standard letter back within a week, but still waiting for the statements. They have got 14 days left before I have to take it further if I haven't recieved them.

    Thanks
    Cheryl
