I have just worked out our claim and have been checking out the article and just wanted a bit of clarification before sending off the letter. It says to just send it to our local branch - is that just the usual high street branch? I'll be honest our are a mare in general, has anyone used any other address to handle these issues?
Also, is it best to send it recorded delivery?
Thanks!!!:heart2: Cookiepops :heart2:0 -
hi there, ive just sent away a request to barclays for my six years of bank charges.
I have been charged loads from them and nows the time to fight to get them back, im hoping they will send them to me without any problems. does any body know how long they take to send them back to you. As im very keen to get the ball rolling.
Ive already started to set up a new account just in case. Ive been with barclays for over 9 years now and im sick of being ripped of by them last year i used to get charged £30 each day i was over drawn at a maximum of £90. and this would happen to me a lot. so how the hell was i supposed to get my self out of debt, when they kept on doing this.
wish me look coz i think im going to need it, if any one can give me advise please do so and tell me your experiances with them
Thanksi love this site0 -

Good luck with your claim, seriously:D
Thanks :beer:0 -
So if it's lawful for them to charge you for the amount you've gone over how the hell can we/they decide how much they've unlawfully charged us over 6 years.
I mean I know they've screwed me over but there have been times Iv'e been gone over, which is fair enough and I don't mind paying for the equal amount.0 -
hi do you know weather you can claim the small charges i.e the £3's an £5's, or is it just the bigger charges like £30's etc, an do u know if i can claim interest on them, thanks0

Hi folks,
Any advice on how to organise a judgement by default? I've heard nothing about a defence and tomorrow's the last day so I need to know how to get in there first before they submit a last minute attack.0 -

Hi I'm at the same stage, Barclays 14 days were up last friday although they send standard letter saying they would respond by 26th, so I've just send next letter telling them they've got seven days to respond or I'll take them to court.
Remember your time scale not theirs. They are just trying for more time, it seems to be their standard policy.
Hope thats helpful.0 -
I'm claiming £3332 from Barclays (inc interest) They ignored my first letter of Dec 28th 2006 and my ultimatum of Jan 15th so I instigated a county court claim which was sent on Feb 5th deemed to have been served on the 10th so Barclays have til the 24th to respond.
Today I have a letter from them dated 11th Feb saying my claim is tosh but they'll offer me £1000. They say they refer to the complaint in my letter of Jan 27th. There is no such letter.
I'm minded to say to them -"your defense is invalid since you failed to state this in reponse to my two earlier letters which you ignored". However I'm a little thrown that they are referring to my letter and not to my County Court claim. I believe it is teh County Court action they are refering to and this is what has pushed them into action.
Do you suppose they are simply in denial and using tactics.0
