  • It's been 4 weeks now since I received a letter from Barclays saying they would sort out my statements, just how much longer will I have to wait!?

I actually did it, Barclays bank paid out in full without shutting down my account after just ONE letter!!!!!!!

I used the model letter on here and attached a spreadsheet detailing all dates, charges and what they were for.
    £745 in all.
They say they disagree with my claim but are willing to settle as a gesture of goodwill.
I can't beleive it, I was prepared for the full fight too.
Come on everyone, get your's back.

    Hi worrier,
I just got my letter from Barclays today saying they will refund my claim in full £745 for previous charges, hold out for the full amount! Is it for a lot of money?
I was lucky, it only took one letter

    Full amount straightaway!
I have a Barclays Additions account, whether the type of account makes a difference I don't know.
I think it helped to attach a detailed spreadsheet listing dates, charges and what they were for, they must have thought I meant business!

  • They've totally ignored my claim for 25 quid... I don't like them very much... Off to court very soon (as soon as I have time).
With all of my dietary restrictions, I'm left with lipstick and water
  • hi bank_of_slate,

did you compile the spreadsheet yourself or did it come from barclays (did you request it, i mean?)

Never posted on here before and am about to start my own war with barclays
  • Good luck, my first time on any type of chat room so am a bit "green" but there certainly seem some helpful people on - I have lost my thread and I don't know how I will know when I get replies, so any help from anyone please.............

let us all know how you get on with Barclays - they don't seem the most helpful of the banks.

Barclays wont send you a spreadsheet detailing your charges. HERE is an example of how I list the charges out.
