  • I have already posted in the success storys, thought i should post here too.

After sending only first letter have been offered £795 (was claiming £820)

Have accepted, i think they are realising they can't win.

I realise i have been very lucky and would like to wish everybody goodluck in your claims.

Only claim back charges you can prove. Do not guess or estimate any figure. If the court asks for proof of the charges, and you have guessed them, you are stuck, and risk harming your claim.

sorry didnt word that very well what i actually meant to ask was do i send the original request figure of which i sent them a print out of the charges i can prove and interest or do i work a new one out from today as the original one i sent them when i first asked for the money back was NOV 06 and obviously it is now Feb 07 and by the time i go to court it will be May 07 and i put on my court poaperwork i itended to ask for the interest.

  • Over at https://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk they have a court bundle that is free to download. On the index page (first page), it lists all the information you need to gather together, and send to the court/bank.[/QUOTE]

Ok my mum claimed £4247.19 they said they would reply by the 8th FEB (Tomorrow) I thought I would phone as hadn't received a letter, they said it had been sent today, I asked what the outcome was.

They have offered her a £1000 as a good will gesture and put that it is not there fault ect..... (not read the letter)

Now not happy so could anyone advise as to what we do now.

When you issue the court claim, you need to update the interest figure. Re-enter them in the calculator to do this. It will give the interest up to the date you enter them in..

    Just a quick question...

I've an account with barclays and I'm about to set upon trying to claim back just over £200 worth of charges.

I errr... live in my fairly hefty overdraft at the moment and this money would be gratefully recieved in helping me out of it.

Are they likely to try and close down my account and insist on all their money back??

    Thanks in advance.

  • All banks can and some do close down accounts/overdrafts so you do have to be aware this may happen and see if you can arrange another account just incase.
  • Hi everybody,

Well today I received my court date! So, I need to put together my bundle and get it send off pretty quickly, they haven't given me all that long!

BUT, I have one major problem so far; they've put the court date on a date in April that I can't attend court! I did indicate this on the AQ but they seem to have ignored it? Is it simply a case of writing to them to explain this, and get a later court date? I don't want this to mess up so far along the line...

Secondly - to which Barclays address do I need to send my court bundle? I don't have any other apart from a) my branch and b) the head office address. Is the head office acceptable?

    Any answers appreciated :)

Phone the court, give them your case number, and tell them the problem. They will advise you what to do.

You should have received letters from Barclays solicitors. Send the court bundle to them.

I'll give the court a call and see what they have to say.

As for Barclays, I haven't had a thing from their solicitors. The only stuff I've had is the AQ from the court with a copy of their defence. Maybe that'll have the details on?
