Over at https://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk they have a court pack you can download. You need to print this out, and send off as part of your case.

FURTHER HAS ANYONE DONE the court thing yet . Just spoke to money claim at it will cost a further 120 quid any info will be great cheers

I got my money back yesterday from Barclays, all off it including the interest and the £120 court fee. It was nerve wracking but it does work - just follow Martin's steps carefully and use these forums when (as I did) you start to lose your nerve.

    Hi,
I have just sent off the first letter to Barclays requesting the 6 years of statements. From what I have read on this forum, they send back a standard response and then return the cheque with your statements. I just wondered if there is any way we can get these statements quicker than waiting for the 40 days? The response people are getting from Barclays seems to say that you can ask for copies of your statements without having to pay for them (well if you are still banking with them anyway!). My husband has gone into his online banking to see if he can find a way of ordering them but couldn't.
Anyway, did anyone do anything to get the statements quicker or should we just hold tight?

    Thanks!!
    Lisa

Well, so far so good - as my husband opened the letter, I reeled off exactly what it said from one of the posts on here and they returned the cheque - so now we are just waiting on the statements which they said could take several weeks. Anyone else in the same situation - how long was it before you received your statements?

What charges can I claim from Barclays? There is something on my statements that says "paid referral" which is £20 each time. Is this a charge?

on the letters front such as ATM for a cash machine withdrawal theres a couple that are REV but I dont know what they are!
    Heeeeelp!!!
I've just started entering the competitions (July 07). When I win I'll update this signature. Look on the bright side, I shouldn't have to update it very often.

You're lucky people dignified that with a reply, came across extremely rude.
  • Hi All

I'm just about to send my first letter off to Barclays asking to see all my charges for the last 6 years. I've got a feeling I'm going to be a heavy envelope back. :D
  • Please forgive me if this has been asked already but where do I send my initial letter requesting statements?
