    Morning ,

Was just wondering how long it takes Barclays to credit your account once an offer has been accepted .....

Anybody been down this road ....

    Many Thanks :rotfl:
  • I'm not sure what you mean by Barclays informing the court of their decision but it is you taking Barclays to court and the judge of your local court will decide if your case goes ahead or if it waits.

I see, its just in your earlier thread you said the bank has to ask the court to stay the case.
  • Has anyone had any luck with claiming back from Barclays
  • Barclays settled almost straight away, just £20 shy of what they owed, they have been really good and didn't charge me for copy bank statements either.
    Good luck.

I'm in the small claims system v barclays on behalf of woolwich. I reckon it'll go all the way, probably with an offer or a no show at the final moment. From what I've been hearing it's swings and roundabouts all round. Some have an easy ride and some go all the way. I'm plumming for the full amount plus interest, so I've reconciled myself to a wait. You might find that they make you an offer you're comfortable with. Do you know how much they owe you?
  • We did the "bide our time" route with them (mostly as we didn't have the cash to file with courts) so we took the full 8 weeks from their initial response but when they did (and they also wrote to us during this time to say it was on going) they accepted no liability etc etc but then did give us £55 out of £75 claimed on one account and £475 out of £565 claimed on the other- not bad for the price of a few stamps and waiting! They paid it into the bank really quickly too.

Barclays have offered me a full settlement of £700. I was also trying to claim litigate costs which they said was not in their policy to offer, I know people that have claimed this from barclays before their court hearing. I am happy with the offer but i am curious to find out how they went about making barclays pay this added cost. Also my court hearing is on the 22nd august, do i keep the claim open until they pay up? Thanks for the great help!
  • Does anyone have e-mail addresses for Barclays litigation team? Thanx

Indeed but asking for a stay is different from just informing the court!

Although having said that I think I did read that Barclays got a stay from a court without the claimant being informed.
