You have 2 months from date of offer to accept so if you have a copy of the acceptance form, then send it again, if not, just send them a letter saying you accept their offer and that according to their own statement on their website http://www.personal.barclays.co.uk/BRC1/jsp/brccontrol?site=pfs&task=popup1group&value=13327
they have agreed to honour all accepted offers.
This is the paragraph in question:
What if I have already been made an offer?
We will stand by any offer to settle a complaint or court claim that we have already made to our customers. If you have received an offer to settle from us, we will be writing to you again shortly. Our letter will explain that customers have two months to decide whether to refuse our offer and wait for the decision in the test case. If you do choose to refuse an offer, your complaint or claim will be held and recorded by us until there is a final decision in the 'test case'. We will then contact you again as soon as possible to finally resolve your complaint.Reclaimed thanks to this site:

...... Just to let you guys know.... I have just now, received a "wad" of copy / print out statements from Barclays! JUST inside the 40 days given.. but also, interestingly , they have returned my £10 PO saying that " this service is provided free of charge"! Get that! Quite how I can cash a PO made out to Barclays though I dont know yet!
Further....... As a tip I think...... I WISH I'd asked for just a list of the charges....... theres about 300 pages here Im going to have to sift through.
Still..its a start...

The problem seems to be that someone at Barclays had put a note on our file to say that we had declined their offer - but we have not! I will try this but I don't know if it will make a difference, thanks for the advice all.You cant have everything; where would you put it?Reclaimed: marbles c/card-£131.00,MBNA c/card-£385.00,Capital One c/card-£230.00,Natwest c/card-£248.68,Nationwide PPI-£1590.88,Nationwide c/card-£56.21,Barclays PPI-£2805.280 -
Well ask them if they can in any way prove that you have allegedly declined their offer. They would have to have something in writing or a recording of a phonecall with you to prove this. A mere note on your file is no proof. Say that if they continue to lie to you, you will let the FO know.Reclaimed thanks to this site:

Tell them To have a note put on the file is not acceptable.. Anyone could have done it - indeed if there really is one...... Only a letter or a copy of a letter from you would be acceptable to you as proof of such happening!! And you would want to see it..
See how thay deal with that!

Yep....I tried to get them to hurry up but was told it's an automatic thing & would have to wait...I think they are going to wait until the full 21 days is up:mad:0 -
Tell you what Ive been thinking..... Assuming as does happen, someone gets their fees awarded back to them via whatever means... What then happens about the future running of the account...... ie, Do charges accrue AGAIN... until such a time as the individual claims again??? if you see what I mean.

I received my statements from Barclays on the 39th day, using the calculater to work out interest I sent a claim in for £2070 + interest giving a total of £2597.24 I have received a letter saying that although they disagree with my claim that without any admissions of liability they are willing to offer me £1500. towards the total amount I am seeking, this is with the cost & inconvenience inherent in a further dispute in mind and is intended as a gesture of goodwill, in full & final settlement of my complaint. They then go on to say if I want to accept their offer to send the form back & the money will be in my account in 10 days. They say of I am disatified with their proposal for resolving my complaint I may ultimately be eligible to refer my complaint to the FOS.
& a few more posts in between resulted in this

Here goes .. I have just typed this ready to go in tomorrow's post
Thank you for your letter dated 08 June 2007 for an offer of £1500.000 in full and final settlement to my claim.
I am not willing to accept this as full and final payment. I will be happy to accept this offer as 'part payment' to my claim of £2597.24 , without prejudice and I shall be persuing the claim by means of the Financial Ombudsman for the remainder of the money owed to me.
However, if you are prepared to pay to me £ 2000.00 within 14 days of the date of this letter, I am prepared to accept this lower figure in full and final settlement of my claim and interest.I look forward for a full response to this letter within 14 days.princesskez26 wrote: »No thats excellentget that sent tommorow
