Been to court this morning. Barclays didn't bother to turn up . The judge asked me a few questions about why I have brought a case against Barclays and told him that the amounts they have charged me were illegal and he agreed. He asked how much I was after and I told him £1650, including interest and court charges. Cheekily, I also told him I would like to be reimbursed for having a day off of work, he agreed but said the maximum he could give was £50, so I accepted this gratefully!! Also tried to claim for the hours I had put in preparing for the case but he said that I was not entitled to that, but if I had employed a solicitor then that would be a different story.Thats why all the solicitors are trying to jump on the bandwagon. Good luck everyone- don't let the !!!!!!!s grind you down!!
Should be getting £1700 from Barclays in the next fourteen days or I am to take out an enforcment.Hee Hee

    Hey Guys!!
Im trying to claim 980 back without interest from Barclays and a few days BEFORE this test case thing came in i was sent a letter saying they would like to offer a goodwill gesture of 690 which we were going to refuse as we were completely happy to go all the way and try and get all of our money back and so with the next letter threatening court we were going to add interest! Now this test case has come in im very apprehensive about taking it further incase we lose everything and also as now all court cases are going to be suspended and we could possibly wait more than a year to have a conclusion feel its a bit pointless to fork out money for court fees although i know if we won they would be refunded but if the banks win we could lose out on getting ANY money back!!! So we would like to send our acceptance letter back accepting the 690 but am unsure of quite what to do as i would like to keep the original acceptance form for my records but would a signed photocopy suffice??? Or do you have to send the original copy back or should i just type my own letter of acceptance bearing in mind im not quite confident that i would put all the relevant infomation in it and use correct terminology!!!! If anyone could please help me i would very much appreciate it!!!
Thank you all in advance and Good Luck to you all with your claims too! x x x

    hello peeps,
was claiming just over £2000 from barclays. have been on holiday for the last couple of weeks, and some time just after we went away a letter arrived offering us £1250. now, it looks like barclays are prepared to honour offers they've already made- so we have to make a decision fast. should we cut and run, or are people in the same situation contacting them, with holding out for a response to the test case?? please let me know!!!
thanks for all you help so far...;)

It is the banks who have said all claims are on hold, the courts are operating as usual so if you are taking the bank to court, or are about to start then the bank has to ask the court to stay the case and this can be argued.

The bank must honour any offers made and indeed pay them!
