You need to talk to the litigation team but they will only talk to you when you have a court date . That's what they told me but be warned that you may be talking to an answering service lol.
Not sure if I helped but if we all stick together and pass our experiences surly it will get us where we want to be.0 -

I rang Barclays customer relations (hoping to get a settlement) they were very polite but not very helpful really, no refund or settlement has been offered.............I was eventually transferred to litagtion and spoke to a really nice, helpful guy, I was told that they are dealing with cases in chronilogical order, (by court dates). Once I have my court date I am going to call back and ask for a settlement - I hope it's soon as Barclays are changing their procedures regularaly. I don't want to go to court!!!!!!!Anyone else at the same stage?
Are your 28 days coming up or has it passed?0 -
hi guys
just watched program on itv was interesting. think my mum and dad r goin to look into reclaiming council tax.
anyway the reason for the post is i am stage 3 of the reclaiming process. sent template letter to barclays saying unless they resolved my complaint within 14 days i would refer it to county court.
i had a reply dated the 10th which said the following:
" i apologise for the delay in providing you with a full response to your complaint and thank u for ur patience whilst we continue our investigation. unfortunately we remain unable to respond to your concerns at present. however we will contact you again as soon as possible and certainly no later than 7th august 2007. "
no i have a dilemma, do i wait until this date or stick with my original timescale and threaten court action again? am i being naive to think that they will get back to me with a settlement figure during this time? i am claiming back £630+ £133 interest. i am happy to wait to be honest but just wondered whether i should be chasing it up still?
any help i will b very grateful
cheers guys keep up the good work :money:0 -

I'm in a dilemma! Amount claimed £5289 including interest, received a letter this morning with an offer of £3315. Really don't know whether to just accept and draw a line under it or pursue it to try and get what I believe I'm owed!0

I have said this before on here but its worth mentioning again for those people that think it can be a quick process.
I started claiming my money back from Barclays last October(£2700 inc interest)
The case was transferred from MCOL to my county court in March, but didnt hear from the county court til end of May and the date is set for mid October so that will be a year to the month!! Talk about try the patience of a saint.
Have called the litigation dept but they say they even though I have a date they wont do any deal til a month before, so thats obviously September and then there is no garantee!!:eek:0 -
Had an offer today of £365 today was claiming £520 minus interest. We've decided to accept it as its been 2 and a half months since we started with Barclays, just got to sign the letter and send it back and they money will be credited within 14 days :j

Hi people,
Im new to this site but think its great so far...read lots of interesting info, anyway my problem is...............
I have not yet claimed bank charges back from barclays and realise this claiming thing has been going on for some time now so wondered if I had left it too late to claim for any reason?
Also, has anyone had any problems getting money back from Barclays?
THANKS for any response/ advice.

Welcome aboard
I have a barclays credit card and had no problems at all claiming back £40. Small amount I know but money better off in my pocket.
It's never too late to reclaim as they're illegal charges anyway so use Martins letters and get going - don't stop until you've reclaimed from all your accounts (normal bank and credit cards).0
