    Reject this offer and they will give you more! Tell them how much it will cost if you have to take it to court, they will soon increase their offer ;)

    Got It & Spent It :dance:
    IKEA CARD = £120 charges = £175 received (146%)
    MARBLES = £450 charges = £370 received (82%)
    I.F. = £494 charges = £494 received (100%)
    CAPITAL ONE = £981 charges = £1,489.03 (152%)
    BARCLAYCARD = £580 charges = £786.12 (136%)
    On Hold :mad:
    A+L = £722 charges (target = 147%)
    BARCLAYS = £1,405 charges (target = 128%)
    BARCLAYS = £175 charges (target = 140%)
    ABBEY = £3,220 charges (target = 148%)
  • You will get more but it takes forever! I was made an offer in March which I tried to negotiate to get a bit more but to no avail, so I rejected it and proceeded with court action. However being completely skint and on the redline every month I'm starting to wish I had accepted that offer.....

    So bare in mind if you pursue the court route to get it all you're in for the long haul with a certain amount of extra stress added.

    Just some food for thought....

    Hi there,
    I hope this thread includes Barclaycard (apologies if it dosnt).
    I sent off letter asking for £1500 including interest and got a letter back saying they were going to credit my account with £459. If I continue with my claim can or will they take this back
    Any advice Pease
    Thanks

    They shouldn't, but what Barclaycard WILL do is reduce your credit limit quite substantially ..........
    Claimed back in 2007
    Barclays Bank £2245

    Is it better to write to them, at least this way you have proof for the court to show you are trying to settle. Or doesn't it really matter?
  • Hi folks, decided to register with the site to see if I could get some advice, I like most on here I guess am in the middle of trying to claim, my claim is £2,093.00 from Barclays, they offered me £1,145.00 as a "Good Will Gesture" and have said that this offer is final and non-negotiable. I recieved this offer a week ago and have been deciding weather to Deal or No Deal. What would you do......or is that a silly question?

    Thanks SMT£:beer:
  • Hi i have made a claim against barclays for £1566.77, i received a letter from them offering £990.00 as a goodwill gesture. I wish to reject this offer. Can anyone help me or give me a template letter rejecting this offer. Many thanks

    Hi

    I just phoned Robert, the guy in cahrge of my case at litigation, and he says they're not going to settle but instead proceed with the hearing. It's a Directions Hearing. I'm incredibly nervous!

    I have to change the court date cos it's during my honeymoon mind you!

    :D Is there still a chance they will settle before the actual date or is the hearing likely?

    :rolleyes: What do I need to prepare for a directions hearing?

    :o Do I need to send anything to them now?

    :p What are my overall chances do you reckon?!!

    I had a similar letter today. I rang the number on the letter to try and negotiate the figure and was told that it is non-negotiable but I could take it to the financial ombudsman. I was given the FO's tel number of 0845 0801 800. When I rang I spoke to a nice lady who said Barclays could/should have negotiated but she took down my details and said that she would send me a form to sign and return and she would take it on and deal with them. It may be worth giving this a try? I'm not sure if anyone else has done the same as me and if so how far they got or what happened next - I can't see anything on any of the other threads?
